WWE NXT’s final episode on the USA Network may have gone wrong.
WWE is set to return to the CW Network on Tuesday with a packed schedule. However, last week’s NXT concluded its run on the USA Network. The show frequently featured an overrun, but last week’s overrun appeared to be excessive.
According to Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, the USA Network nearly pulled NXT off the air because the show finished seconds before it would have abruptly ended due to its length. WWE closed the episode with a press conference featuring NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and Giulia promoting their upcoming match.
Perez held up the NXT Women’s Title while staring down her challenger. According to the report, the show’s internal name was “Goodbye USA.”
NXT will undergo changes, as previously reported. Shawn Michaels told Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown that more surprises are on the way for WWE NXT.
