For the upcoming months, AEW will be without The Young Bucks as the top tag team will be taking a break from the promotion.
On Wednesday’s AEW Fright Night Dynamite, Private Party defeated the Young Bucks to win the AEW Tag Team Titles and keep the team together. Following the show, it was revealed that Nicholas Jackson had been working with a separated shoulder.
It was also revealed that the injury had been bothering him for weeks. In the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that, while there is no timetable for his return, the top act will not wrestle at Full Gear later this month.
Meltzer wrote, “There is no set timetable for a return past it’ll be for a while, and they aren’t scheduled for the Full Gear show. It’ll be no longer than January since they are confirmed for the joint AEW & NJPW show at the Tokyo on 1/5.”
The January 5th show will take place at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, and is a co-promoted pay-per-view event.
We wish him speedy recovery.
