PWInsider.com reports that NJPW’s broadcast contract with AXS TV ended on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at midnight, and the Japanese pro wrestling promotion opted not to renew. It was also mentioned in the report that there will be no new additional episodes of NJPW on AXS TV.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that NJPW’s promotion said it had decided to part ways with AXS TV. Meltzer also stated that NJPW wanted to negotiate to get its programming on a better station.
NJPW returned to AXS TV with weekly episodes of its flagship show in March 2022. The show previously ran on AXS TV from 2015 to 2019.
