Backstage News on Bray Wyatt, Ranked #1 Babyface on Internal Roster

Bray Wyatt is the most notable return for Triple H since taking over WWE creative from Vince McMahon earlier this summer.

Following weeks of White Rabbit teases, Wyatt made his return at the end of WWE Extreme Rules. Since then, Wyatt has kept fans guessing about what is next for him and who will be part of the Wyatt 6 faction.

This includes whether he is classified as a babyface or a heel, as he has displayed traits of both during his return. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Wyatt is the number one babyface on WWE’s internal roster for the SmackDown brand. Drew McIntyre, previously the brand’s top babyface, is now ranked second.

WWE is reportedly “thrilled” with Wyatt’s return.

Johnson also noted the following, “The company is especially happy with the buzz from all the interactive ‘White Rabbit’ material leading to Bray’s return and will be looking to do similar content in future storylines, even for others beyond Bray Wyatt if and when the time is right and it fits a storyline. There were a number of people who pushed for such content in the past but it was never authorized under the old regime, but until the Paul Levesque [Triple H] vision for creative, that has changed.”

When WWE let go of Wyatt in 2021, it was a huge surprise because he was a top star and a big merchandise seller. While Vince McMahon had soured on Wyatt at the time, Triple H praised him in an interview with Ariel Helwani for being open to working with Wyatt.

Since his return, Wyatt has been the company’s top merchandise seller in recent weeks, with big plans for him all the way to WrestleMania 39.

As PWMania.com previously reported, there has been talk of a “Wyatt 6” faction being formed with wrestlers playing the roles of Firefly Funhouse members.
