Scott Garland is more than a producer for AEW.
At least as of Wednesday night.
The former WWE Superstar and producer formerly known as Scotty 2 Hotty made his in-ring debut for the promotion in a dark match held prior to the AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash show at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, FL.
Garland came out to the ring to his ‘Too Cool’ theme song that the WWE Universe remembers from his time dancing with Grandmaster Sexay and WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi during the Attitude Era.
He teamed up The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass against The Gunns, Matt Menard, and Jake Hager, picking up the win after hitting his trademark worm spot.
Fightful Select is reporting that AEW does have the rights to the Too Cool theme and utilized it for the appearance.
Garland has mentioned that he is open to performing for AEW alongside his duties as a producer for the company.
