As PWManaia.com previously reported, AEW President Tony Khan announced earlier this week that the company had acquired the rights to the NBA on NBC “Roundball Rock” theme song by John Tesh, which debuted on Wednesday night’s Winter Is Coming episode of AEW Dynamite.
According to Fightful Select, Khan wanted the rights to the song from the recent AEW Full Gear pay-per-view to coincide with the Best Of 7 Series between The Elite and AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle.
According to reports, the rights holders were very reasonable and easy to work with, making a deal easy to reach. This was notable because music rights inquiries are frequently unpredictable. There’s no word on how long AEW will keep using the theme.
