In the final segment before their “Lights Out” steel cage match at the 2024 All Out PPV event, “Hangman” Adam Page set fire to Swerve Strickland’s “childhood home,” as seen on September 4, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite. Prior to Dynamite, Swerve posted a video on social media discussing buying back the home after it had been foreclosed.
According to Fightful.com, the angle had been planned for several months. The production used a small crew and was not filmed at Strickland’s childhood home. The segment was said to be confidential to the point where several wrestlers congratulated Swerve on his purchase while he had to remain in character.
During a media call to promote All Out, Khan added to the storyline by saying the following.
“I’m so excited about the card top to bottom, and I’m excited to get your questions, so with that, we can jump into it. Although, I will say, it’s been quite a long night, you know, trying to keep Hangman out of jail.”
