WWE hosted the Elimination Chamber PLE last Saturday at Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, and it was a huge success.
The Elimination Chamber Matches and WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax headlined the show, with Ripley winning in her native country.
Drew McIntyre won the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match, earning a chance to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title, while Becky Lynch won the Women’s Match, earning the right to face Ripley for the Women’s Title at WrestleMania 40.
According to Dave Meltzer’s latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the show drew 47,921 fans, making it the second-largest pro wrestling crowd in Australia’s history.
It trailed only the WWE event in August 2002 at Colonial Stadium in Melbourne, which drew about 56,000 people and featured Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H vs. The Rock for the WWE Title.
