The first ever Atlantic Pro Wrestling Champion has been crowned.
On March 3rd, Atlantic Pro Wrestling held it’s much anticipated Chase for the Championship! Road to the Gold event at the Louis Millett Community Complex in New Minas, Nova Scotia in front of a packed house.
This show marked the 1st anniversary for Atlantic Pro Wrestling.
In the main event, Maritimes star Covey Christ defeated Thad Howett to become the inaugural Atlantic Pro Wrestling Champion.
Covey Christ was originally scheduled to face Kirk Aube in the main event but Aube had to pull out of the match due to illness. APW management named Thad Howett as the replacement.
This was the second match of the evening for Covey Christ as he faced former WWE star Highlander Robbie earlier in the evening. Highlander Robbie defeated Covey Christ which makes one wonder if Robbie will use that win to campaign for a title shot.
Thad Howett was scheduled to face Jason Boa prior to him being named as Aube’s replacement. Bobby Boyette stepped in and became Boa’s new opponent.
In a marquee matchup, Charlie Hubley defeated Lincoln Steen.
