The AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event last Sunday featured a packed card and a thrilling night of action. The night that WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland made his promotional debut will be remembered fondly.
Bryan Danielson defeated Zack Sabre Jr., The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Will Ospreay, and Sammy Guevara) defeated Chris Jericho and The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi), and Christian Cage retained the TNT Title against Darby Allin in a two out of three falls match.
The match between Jericho and Omega vs. Takeshita and Guevara was supposed to take place on Wednesday’s Dynamite, but it was canceled due to Guevara not being medically cleared.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio mentioned Guevara suffered a concussion during the WrestleDream match.
“So Sammy got a concussion on the pay-per-view. So he’s out until…it’s a concussion story. It could be next week. Who knows. But yeah, he’s out.”
