An injured AEW star who has been out for several weeks due to a concussion is hoping to return to the ring soon. Unfortunately, this will not be the case.
Sammy Guevara suffered the injury while working with Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita to defeat Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi at the WrestleDream pay-per-view event.
Following the event, Don Callis announced that Guevara was not medically cleared to wrestle, despite having hoped to be cleared in time.
Guevara stated on his Instagram Story, as seen below, that he is still not medically cleared.
A fan asked, “When are we getting Sammy Guevara back in the ring?” Sammy responded, “Man, I wish I had an answer. I’m still not cleared.”
Guevara and Tay Melo, who married last August, are expecting their first child together. We wish Che Guevara a quick recovery.
