AEW Investigation Still Not Finished Due to Legal Threats and One Party Being Uncooperative

During the course of this week, Tony Khan participated in a few interviews, and each time, he stated that he would not comment on the incident that took place between CM Punk, Ace Steel, and The Elite a month ago. Khan did not provide a response when he was asked to comment on the question of whether or not CM Punk was still employed by the company or whether or not The Elite would reunite.

As the investigation is expected to come to a close very soon, it is possible that we will hear from one or all sides of the situation very soon. There was reportedly a threat of legal action that is holding things up, despite the fact that there was a discussion about everything coming to an end about two weeks ago.

On the Wrestling Observer Board, Ryan Frederick reported the following, “There’s been some hold-ups on completing the investigation. Supposedly, it should be wrapped up soon.”

In a later follow-up, Dave Meltzer said, “One person has threatened legal action and been uncooperative.”

There was no additional information provided, and it is unknown who will be returning to television once the investigation has been completed. Punk is injured, and even if he stays with the company, it is highly unlikely that we will see him until the following year.
