It’s Wednesday night, and you know what that means …
All Elite Wrestling returns to the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut with the AEW Full Gear 2022 “go-home” edition of AEW Dynamite.
On tap for the weekly two-hour AEW on TBS television program this evening is Death Triangle vs. Top Flight & AR Fox for the AEW Trios titles, Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara vs. Claudio Castagnoli & Bryan Danielson, as well as Toni Storm vs. The Bunny in an AEW Interim Women’s title eliminator.
Also scheduled for the show is Bandido vs. Ethan Page in a semifinal match in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament, Anthony Bowens vs. Swerve Strickland, the world premiere of The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn’s music video, and we will hear from Jon Moxley, MJF, Saraya, Britt Baker and Samoa Joe.

AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS (11/16/2022)
The AEW Full Gear 2022 “go-home” edition of AEW Dynamite on TBS kicks off with the usual theme song and opening video, and then we shoot live inside the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, CT. where the commentary team welcomes us to the show.
Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara vs. Claudio Castagnoli & Bryan Danielson
From there, we head to the ring for our opening action. Kicking things off on the final Dynamite before Saturday’s Full Gear PPV is the big advertised tag-team match featuring J.A.S. members taking on Blackpool Combat Club members.
Making their way out to the ring is “The Ocho” Chris Jericho. The ROH World Champion emerges alongside “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara. The two Jericho Appreciation Society members head to the ring and settle inside.
Out next are their opponents from the BCC. Former ROH World Champions Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli both make their way out and head to the squared circle as well. All four men are in the ring and our opening contest is about to get underway.
The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with the first match on the final Dynamite before Saturday’s big Full Gear 2022 pay-per-view. ROH commentator Ian Riccaboni joins the gang on commentary for this one. Two men take their battle out to the floor while the other half dukes it out in the ring.
Danielson and Guevara end up as the legal men in the ring and we see “The American Dragon” taking it to “The Spanish God” on the mat. Danielson gets in some more offense and then tags in Castagnoli.
Castagnoli picks up where Guevara left off, taking it to Sammy until the J.A.S. member blasts him with a dropkick that shifts the offensive momentum into the favor of the J.A.S. duo. Danielson ends up tagging in and he shifts the offensive momentum right back into his teams favor.
Eventually Guevara gets Danielson trapped in his corner of the ring, where he gets in a few shots before tagging in “The Ocho.” Jericho picks up where Guevara left off, as he takes it to Danielson a bit before stopping to taunt him and the fans in Bridgeport.
We see some high spots and then as double-team work from Jericho and Guevara starts to widen their offensive lead, we head to a mid-match commercial break as this tag-team contest continues.
When we return from the break, we see the action still in progress. All four men end up duking it out at the same time and then when the smoke clears, it is Danielson and Guevara as the legal two men in the ring, with Danielson dominating the action.
“The American Dragon” blasts Guevara with several “Yes!” kicks as the fans chant along with each shot that lands. Guevara ends up fighting back and as he goes for the GTS, Danielson counters his way out of it and locks Guevara in a submission on the mat.
The J.A.S. member eventually makes it to the ropes, which forces the hold to be broken. Soon after, he makes it to his corner and tags in Jericho. Jericho goes for the lionsault but misses. Danielson crawls to his corner and tags in Claudio.
He gets Jericho in the big swing just as Jericho tried bringing in Floyd the baseball bat to use. Claudio finishes swinging him, grabs the bat and holds it over his shoulder as he gets Jericho in the scorpion death lock for the win.

Anthony Bowens vs. Shane “Swerve” Strickland
After the opening contest, we hear from the commentators, who promote the next match of the evening between Anthony Bowens and Shane “Swerve” Strickland. From there, we head to a commercial break. We return to a vignette that shows Darby Allin reacting to “The Last Outlaw” Jeff Jarrett vowing to put him and others in a body bag.
When the vignette ends, we see a quick backstage segment where Jarrett and company are walking by and being bullies. We head back into the arena where The Acclaimed theme music hits.
Max Caster accompanies Anthony Bowens out to the ring, doing his usual freestyle rap as they make their walk. Bowens finishes with his “Scissor me, daddy!” catchphrase as he settles inside the ring for our second match of the evening.
But first! It’s time for the world premiere of The Acclaimed’s brand new music video. The music video airs with Paul Wight revising his “Captain Insano” character from The Waterboy movie with Adam Sandler. Then we see Keith Lee and Shane “Swerve” Strickland parody characters before getting to the actual song.
The video wraps up and then the theme for Swerve hits and he makes his way to the ring. Before the match begins, he is once again attacked by “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn. The bell now sounds to officially get this match off-and-running.
We see some back-and-forth action in the early going and then we head to a mid-match commercial break. Soon after we return, we see Strickland fight his way to victory.

Samoa Joe Explains Heel Turn, Gets Attacked By Wardlow
We head to the ring where Tony Schiavone is joined by his guest at this time, ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe. Schiavone asks him about his recent attack of his WarJoe tag-team partner, TNT Champion Wardlow. Schiavone mentions that fans were surprised and shocked at what he did last week.
Joe responds by asking if it is shocking that Wardlow always ran his mouth and failed to recognize the most dangerous man in the room and in the world. Joe refuses to sit around and wait to be a victim like everyone in the building tonight and watching at home.
As the ROH TV champ continues talking, he is interrupted by Powerhouse Hobbs. Hobbs takes exception to the most dangerous man comment and mentions how Joe is late to the party because he’s been kicking Wardlow’s ass for weeks.
Joe challenges him to come down to the ring and prove it. Hobbs begins heading to the ring but before he gets there, we see Wardlow appear out of nowhere, hopping the guardrail in the crowd and hitting the ring.
He spears Joe and then is attacked from behind by Hobbs. A ton of people come from the back to break it up, but Wardlow still manages to dominate, taking out the security and then diving over the top-rope and hitting a big high spot to end the segment.
AEW Trios Championships
AR Fox & Top Flight vs. Death Triangle
After a quick but very intense talking-to-camera segment featuring Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. addressing her AEW Full Gear opponent Saraya, we head back inside the arena and get ready for championship action.
The AEW Dynamite debut of AR Fox, who teams up with Dante and Darius Martin, collectively known as Top Flight, is up next, as the three will join forces to challenge Death Triangle for the AEW Trios Championships.
We see all three challengers in the ring and then the theme for the reigning, defending champions hits and out comes the team of “The Bastard” PAC and The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix).
All six men are in the ring and it’s time to get down to business. The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with this championship contest. Penta El Zero Miedo and Dante Martin kick things off for their respective teams.
Some crazy fast-paced, high-flying action goes down straight out of the gate between these two and then Martin tags in AR Fox, who enters the ring to the sounds of the fans in Bridgeport chanting his name.
“The Bastard” PAC tags in on the other side of the ring and we see Fox and PAC going at it as the crowd remains on their feet making a ton of noise. Fox hits a big flip-over cutter on PAC, who ends up on the floor. Fox hits a crazy moonsault onto PAC on the floor and then brings the action back inside the squared circle.
We see Darius hit a big spot and then all three members of the Fox and Top Flight team join forces for a three-on-one spot on PAC, which sees Fox hitting another wild cutter. The Lucha Bros hit the ring to provide some help.
Along with PAC, we see a three-way drop kick that shifts the momentum in their favor. As the Death Triangle trio stands tall and the match continues, we head to a mid-match commercial break.
When we return from the break we see things work its’ way to the finish of the contest, which sees PAC hit his top-rope finisher for the pin fall victory. With the win, Death Triangle retain their AEW Trios Championships.

Death Triangle Gets ELITE Opponents For AEW Full Gear Title Defense
We see Death Triangle remain in the ring after the match. They hop on the microphone and address their status as the AEW Trios Champions. They call out the former champions.
This leads to a video confirming the return of the former AEW Trios Champions — The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) — returning as their opponents for their title defense at Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2022 pay-per-view.
AEW Championship Eliminator Tournament
Ethan Page vs. Bandido
We head to the ring after a quick word from Ricky Starks, who addresses the attack from Lance Archer and confirms their originally scheduled AEW Championship Eliminator Tournament bout for this week’s AEW Rampage.
The AEW Championship Eliminator Tournament semifinals get underway here on the AEW Full Gear 2022 “go-home” edition of Dynamite, as it’s time for the semifinal showdown between “All Ego” Ethan Page and Bandido.
Both guys are in the ring and the bell sounds to get this one off-and-running. We see some early back-and-forth action from these two, including the former ROH World Champion and masked fan-favorite hitting his muscle-up suplex spot.
After Page starts to take over again on offense, we head to a mid-match commercial break as the action continues in this semifinal showdown in the ongoing AEW Championship Eliminator tourney.
When we return from the break, we see Bandido in the middle of fighting back into competitive form before taking over on offense. He hits a big spot in the corner and then knocks Page out to the floor.
He climbs up to the top-rope and then even higher as he climbs up to the top of the ring post. He leaps off and connects with an enormous moonsault onto “All Ego” on the floor. Back in the ring, Bandido goes for the cover, but Page kicks out.
Bandido goes for another big spot, but this time Page avoids it and instead, begins shifting the offensive momentum back into his favor. He has Bandido in the corner, where he hoists him up for his Ego’s Edge finisher off the top-rope.
Instead, Bandido counters and avoids it. Bandido with an impressive display of power, plants Page down to the mat and then heads to the top-rope himself. He leaps off and connects with a frog splash for a close near fall.
Page recovers and starts to take over again, this time beating Bandido down and setting him up for his Ego’s Edge finisher. He hits it and goes for the cover, picking up the pin fall victory and advancing in the AEW Championship Eliminator Tournament.

Saraya’s Final Message To Britt Baker Ahead Of AEW Full Gear
We shoot to a quick backstage interview segment featuring Renee Paquette talking to Saraya. The former WWE Superstar known as Paige talks about coming to AEW to face the best, and says that is Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
She says she’s sick of the back-and-forth they have been having as of late and tells her she’ll see her this Saturday at AEW Full Gear 2022. She walks off to end the segment and then we head to another commercial break.
AEW Interim Women’s Title Eliminator
Anna Jay..A.S. vs. Toni Storm (C)
We return from the commercial break and head back to the ring after a quick promo from Eddie Kingston. It’s time for women’s action, as Anna Jay..A.S., who replaces the originally scheduled Bunny, makes her way out.
She settles inside the ring and then the theme for her opponent, the reigning AEW Interim Women’s Champion Toni Storm hits. She settles inside the squared circle as well.
The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with this interim title eliminator bout. With a win, Anna Jay will be the first opponent for the champion after the AEW Full Gear 2022 pay-per-view this weekend.
We see some back-and-forth brawling between these two and then as Anna Jay..A.S. settles into a comfortable offensive lead, we head to a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.
As we settle back in from the break, we see Anna still in control, but not for long, as Storm starts to fight her way back into the offensive lead. She does and gets a submission victory over the J.A.S. member moments later.

Jamie Hayter, Toni Storm Stare Down Ahead Of AEW Full Gear
After the match wraps up, Toni Storm is celebrating her victory when her opponent for this Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2022 pay-per-view, Jamie Hayter, makes her way out.
Hayter power-walks to the ring and gets in Storm’s face. The two go nose-to-nose and Hayter shoves her to end the post-match scene. After this, we head to another commercial break.
Jon Moxley, MJF Share Final Words Ahead Of AEW Full Gear Showdown
Once the commercial break wraps up, we return to the AEW Full Gear 2022 “go-home” edition of AEW Dynamite on TBS and we hear the familiar sounds of “Wild Thing.”
This brings out AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, who makes his custom entrance to the ring and is joined by fellow Blackpool Combat Club member William Regal. The two settle into the ring and Mox’s theme dies down.
We hear the champ begin his final words before his next title defense against MJF at this Saturday’s PPV.
Mox goes on to talk about setting the standard for being the AEW World Champion with his work in the ring defending the title against the top competition available. He then goes on to talk about doing some research on his opponent at Full Gear.
The champ says he learned that MJF is actually a pretty good singer. He says he’s only had one win inside the AEW ring in the past six months, and that was against his Blackpool Combat Club “young boy.”
Jon Moxley goes on to mention that MJF took the summer off after some Brian Pillman-like “Loose Cannon” shenanigans. He says he then returned under a Halloween mask and someone gave him a poker chip after what Mox referred to as the worst finish to a ladder match in history.
Stokely Hathaway and The Firm end up hitting the ring and taking out Jon Moxley. As they are beating him down, the theme for his opponent at Full Gear plays.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman heads to the ring and begins beating down members of The Firm as he gets closer to it. He settles inside the ring and takes out the few remaining members of The Firm as William Regal watches on in the corner of the ring and Mox continues to recover from the sneak attack he just received.
MJF gets on the microphone after clearing the ring and he says he only did that to make sure that there are no excuses from Jon Moxley’s fan club after he beats him and captures the AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear this Saturday night.
Friedman assures us that this is his time and he will win the title this weekend. He says he heard that Moxley said he is not the devil. He takes exception to that and responds in kind as Mox finally makes it back to his feet and is recovered.
Mox says he never really saw what the big deal about MJF was. He says he’ll find out for himself this Saturday if he’s got it in his heart and is actually as good as he himself and some others say.
He says this Saturday, the training wheels come off. He drops the mic and the two go face-to-face as Regal stands in between them and looks on, and the fans in Bridgeport chant. The show goes off the air on that note. Thanks for joining us!
