AEW Dark Results – April 11, 2023
Matt Taven vs. Brian Pillman Jr
Match starts off with a lock up then they go back & forth with submission holds before Matt Taven delivers a dropkick. Brian Pillman Jr steps over Taven before he dumps him out of the ring. Taven chases Pillman back in the ring but Pillman slips back to the outside and hops the barricade to greet fans. Pillman sends Taven’s head repeatedly into the top turnbuckle but Taven sends Pillman’s head colliding with the top rope.
Pillman responds with a crossbody off the top rope and looks to lock in a single leg Boston Crab but Taven makes his way over to the bottom rope to break the hold. Taven sends Pillman to the outside as he delivers a dropkick through the bottom rope, and tosses Pillman back inside. He then delivers a kick off the ropes.
Pillman delivers a chop and a pair of shoulder tackles then hits a splash in the corner and follows it up with a northern lights suplex. He then delivers a thrust kick and ascends to the top as he looks to go flying but Taven plants Pillman with The Climax gets the win.
Winner: Matt Taven
Lee Johnson vs. Blake Li
Lee Johnson delivers a boot to Blake Li’s midsection. Li fires back with a dropkick but Johnson hits him with a vertical suplex. Li delivers a series of right hands but Johnson hits a pair of thrust kicks and a Fisherman’s Neckbreaker for the win.
Winner: Lee Johnson
Josh Woods vs. Daisy K
Match begins with a lock up then they go back & forth before Josh Woods gains the upper hand and delivers a running kick. He follows it up with a gut wrench suplex and an elbow, but Daisy K manages to roll him up. Woods kicks out and lands a knee across Daisy K’s jaw then follows it up with the West Palm Beach Bone Breaker for the win.
Winner: Josh Woods
Willow Nightingale vs. Diamante
Match starts off with a lock up then they go back & forth with submission holds before Willow Nightingale delivers a body slam and a sidewalk slam as she follows it up with a leg drop and looks for a delayed vertical suplex but Diamante escapes and fires off several forearms.
She then delivers a hanging neckbreaker on the middle rope and follows it up with a dropkick that sends her out of the ring. Diamante tosses Nightingale back in the ring and fires off several knees then sits Nightingale on the top turnbuckle and meets her up there.
Nightingale knocks her off and delivers a missile dropkick then lands a hip attack and a spinebuster. She sets up for a cannonball but Diamante ducks it and hits a dropkick. She then hits a rolling cutter and a German suplex then hits an uppercut. Nightingale fires back with a shoulder pounce and the Doctor Bomb for the win.
Winner: Willow Nightingale
