As previously reported by PWMania.com, The Young Bucks made a surprise return at AEW Dynasty this past Sunday, interfering in the main event to help Jon Moxley retain the AEW World Championship by costing Swerve Strickland the title.
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Bucks’ return had been planned specifically for Dynasty, rather than for earlier events such as Revolution or any of the California shows. This report contradicts earlier speculation from some within AEW who were unclear on the exact timing of Matt and Nick Jackson’s comeback.
It was noted that The Young Bucks didn’t arrive at the venue until 10 PM—just late enough to minimize any risk of spoilers leaking. While AEW didn’t go to great lengths to conceal their presence backstage, the timing of their arrival helped maintain the element of surprise for the live audience and viewers at home.
