The report notes that a creative pitch had previously been made for Sky to align with Private Party—a direction that had even been lightly teased on AEW programming. However, the idea was ultimately scrapped, and Sky was pulled from TV, with no follow-up plans implemented.
Sky, a former AEW Tag Team and TNT Champion, has now been off AEW television for over a year. In the meantime, he has remained active on the independent wrestling scene, further highlighting the mystery behind AEW’s decision not to feature him.
