Video: MJF Appears In Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2 Trailer

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, better known as MJF, has landed a role in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2, starring Adam Sandler.

MJF is set to portray Gordie, one of Sandler’s sons. The character is described as a tough, strong-willed New Englander who, along with his brothers, has inherited their father’s love of hockey. All of Gilmore’s sons have grown up, living independently while working blue-collar jobs.

The sequel also sees the return of Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit and Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, while Bad Bunny has joined the cast in an undisclosed role. Additionally, Sandler has teased that Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is expected to make a cameo.

Directed by Kyle Newacheck, Happy Gilmore 2 is based on a script written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy. The film is produced by Sandler, Herlihy, Jack Giarraputo, and Robert Simonds, with Dennis Dugan—director of the original film—serving as an executive producer alongside Judit Maull, Kevin Grady, David Bausch, and Barry Bernardi.

The movie is set to premiere on Netflix this July. The trailer, which includes a glimpse of MJF around the 0:35 mark, has already generated significant buzz.
