WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria appeared on the Battleground podcast to discuss a number of topics, including if she believes there is growth in the company’s women’s division.
Valkyria said, “Yeah, 100%. I think around the time where the ‘Give Divas a Chance’ era was exploding, we’ve gone from that to having the Four Horsewomen to having a change in how women are portrayed on WWE, all-women’s pay-per-views, women main-eventing WrestleMania, and to the point where that really needed the focus, now we’re at the point where it’s normal. It’s just normal, we’re very equal, and I think that’s an amazing place to be right now. I feel like women’s wrestling is just wrestling, and we’re at the best point we possibly can on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. But yeah, I’m always gonna want more time, more platforms, more women’s opportunities, but I think we’re in a very good spot right now.”
