ECW original Tommy Dreamer recently appeared on Busted Open Radio to discuss a number of topics, including John Cena’s promo on the WWE RAW on Netflix debut.
Dreamer said, “John Cena really willed the audience to believe that he could [win another world title]. It’s the story of what everyone wants to do — we go to work why? Because we want a promotion, or we want to be recognized for the good that we do. We want money, we want raises, we want all those important things that come with it. For John Cena, he’s gonna try to do the impossible.”
On the importance of it:
“John Cena’s entering the Royal Rumble … and he’s coming to try to win it. Tere’s still hope if he doesn’t win that, but that was one hell of a promo and it took us on a ride. I truly loved it.”
