Top Lucha Libre star El Hijo del Vikingo has had a number of medical issues over the past few months, with his most recent injury taking place at a TNA iMPACT television taping back in October. Unfortunately, the Lucha Libre star would suffer another serious injury at PROGRESS Wrestling’s Unboxing 7 event this past Saturday, December 28th.
Immediately following Vikingo’s match against Kid Lykos II, PROGRESS took to its official Twitter (X) account and released a statement about the Lucha Libre star’s injury and the match’s suspension.
PROGRESS wrote, “Vikingo vs Lykos II was stopped early due to an unfortunate injury to Vikingo. He will get checked over by our medical team, and we hope for a speedy recovery, and a return to a PROGRESS ring in the future. #Unboxing7”
