With WWE’s expansive roster spread across multiple brands, not every performer gets consistent weekly airtime. One star whose recent absence has raised questions among fans is Oro Mensah.
Mensah, who signed with WWE in 2019 under the ring name Oliver Carter, initially competed in NXT UK, where he achieved success as a one-time NXT UK Tag Team Champion alongside Ashton Smith. After transitioning to NXT in 2022, he was rebranded as Oro Mensah and became part of the Meta-Four faction alongside Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend, and Noam Dar.
Mensah last wrestled on the December 3 episode of NXT Level Up, where he put over Niko Vance. Before that, he faced Lexis King in a Gentleman’s Duel on the October 15 episode of NXT, putting King over as well. His absence from television since then has led to speculation about his status within the company.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select addressed these rumors, writing:
“Contrary to social media panic on December 13th, Oro Mensah has not been released by WWE. We have not heard of Keanu Carver exiting the company either as of this writing.”
While Mensah remains under contract, WWE has yet to reveal any plans for his return to TV. Fans are hopeful that he’ll reappear soon, either in NXT or as part of a larger storyline involving the Meta-Four faction. Until then, his status remains a topic of interest among the WWE Universe.
