Rikishi has been closely following The Bloodline War storyline, which has seen Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa face Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso in recent months. Sami Zayn has also aligned with the babyfaces to level the playing field.
WWE has established Sikoa as the new Tribal Chief since WrestleMania 40, with the expectation that Reigns will reclaim that role with an eventual singles victory. The Bloodline OG defeated The Bloodline 2.0 in WarGames at the Survivor Series six nights ago.
When questioned if The Bloodline 2.0 need a wiseman like Reigns and Paul Heyman, Rikishi claimed on his Off The Top podcast that he sees his son, Solo, as WWE Champion within the next year.
“I honestly think that advice can be good for something like a consultant, and I’ll leave it at that, but I got full confidence in Solo. He’s a college graduate. This kid is smart. He knows he’s easy coming a mile away. He knows how to adapt, and so if you don’t come correct towards Solo, yeah, well, he’s gonna call you out on it, most definitely. It’s his time to eat. He’s been out for a minute, perfecting the craft. Waited his turn. Waited for his opportunity. [In] 2025, I see Solo Sikoa [as] WWE Champion.”
