Japanese pro wrestling legend The Mighty Inoue (Sueo Inoue) passed away last November 27th at the age of 75 due to a cardiac incident.
Inoue is well known for his run in All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) from 1981 to 2000, where he was a major part of the company’s Junior Heavyweight division. Inoue made his pro wrestling debut in 1967 for International Wrestling Enterprise after being trained by Billy Robinson and Hiro Matsuda. Inoue retired from in-ring action in 1997 and immediately worked as a referee in Pro Wrestling NOAH, when Mitsuharu Misawa left AJPW and formed the promotion.
Misawa’s passing in 2010 led Inoue to leave NOAH. In the years that followed, he made occasional appearances with AJPW, working occasional matches. Inoue’s final match saw him team up with Lowther and Yoshitatsu on July 22nd, 2023.
We here at PWMania.com send our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Mr. Inoue.
