Identity Of Swerve Strickland’s Decoy On AEW Dynamite Revealed

Wednesday night’s AEW Full Gear go-home episode of Dynamite featured a backstage segment. An unknown man was wearing Swerve Strickland’s trademark coat. The Hurt Syndicate’s MVP and Shelton Benjamin approached the man, thinking it was Strickland, and attacked him; however, it wasn’t Strickland.

Immediately following Dynamite, Indie star Shaun Smith took to his official Twitter (X) account to announce that he was the person wearing the coat. Smith has worked for H20, 1CW, NYWC, and other indie promotions. Smith also worked the November 2nd episode of AEW Collision, teaming with Joe Keys in a losing effort to Brian Cage and Lance Archer.
