MLW star Alex Kane spoke with WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard on a number of topics related to pro wrestling, including how he wishes there was more focus and attention on the Bomaye Fight Club stable as opposed to himself.
Kane said, “This is going to so weird because like, you always want all the attention on yourself, but I’m not that way. I’ve never been that way. I wish there was more attention on the group itself. We were in a story with WTF, but I feel like the focus even with that one was still on me and I wish it was more on me, Thomas, and now Kevin Knight instead of it just being Alex Kane and then he has his team. I would rather it be Bomaye Fight Club and Rogue Horsemen or whoever exerted gonna go up against, Contra or whatever. I wish we had more tag team matches, I wish we had a tag title reign, I wish we had more things to sink our teeth into as far as being a squad and a team.”
On how Kevin Knight brings a different style to the faction:
“One, he’s just cool. He’s effortlessly cool. Me and Thomas are already cool, but I think he adds a different kind of cool to the group and a different kind of excitement and also a different style. Me and Thomas — I’m a powerhouse, Thomas is a powerhouse, but Thomas is also an athlete but Kevin Knight is on another level of athleticism and that’s been sorely needed within the group. I feel like he can definitely be a major player in the national openweight — he can even be world champion — but I guess for right now, like in that middleweight openweight territory. I feel like he can really make a big impact and make a big splash and that’s what I want for him.”
