Featured below are complete WWE Bad Blood results from Saturday, October 5, 2024. The following report was written by PWMania.com reporter Matt Boone (@MattBoone0709) as the show aired live from 6-10pm EST. on WWE Network on Peacock.

WWE BAD BLOOD RESULTS 10/5/24

“WWE Then. Now. Forever. Together.” gets us started as always. We then see a shot of the city of Atlanta, GA. as the WWE Bad Blood 2024 theme by Metro Boomin plays.

Megan Morant and Sam Roberts welcome us to the official “Countdown to WWE Bad Blood 2024” pre-show. The two are at ringside in an empty WWE Studio and they talk about the lineup for tonight’s show.

They then send things over to Peter Rosenberg, who is outside of the show venue at State Farm Arena with a ton of rabid fans ready to enter the building. He sends things to Jackie Redmond and Cathy Kelley, who check-in with brief updates from backstage in the arena.

A video package airs telling the story leading up to tonight’s Hell In A Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. We then see a video package on Larry the Dog before moving to Jackie Redmond’s sit-down interview with Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio.

From there, we see footage of Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley working out in the ring in a gym. We then move to a sit-down interview Cathy Kelley conducted with WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax. When that wraps up, we return in WWE Studios with Morant and Roberts giving their thoughts on the Jax-Bayley bout.

A history of Hell In A Cell is shown next in a special video package looking at the top five moments in the history of the legendary bout. After some more video packages and nonsense, Big E. and Peter Rosenberg join Jackie Redmond backstage for some more hype.

Samantha Irvin Sings “God Bless America”

They send things back to Morant and Roberts one final time, who wrap up and send things to the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA., where Michael Cole and Corey Graves are at ringside. Samantha Irvin is in the ring and she performs “God Bless America” to wrap up the pre-show.

Hell In A Cell
CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre

And we’re starting off with a bang, folks! The mini-movie style cold open video package featuring Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Cody Rhodes and Metro Boomin’ airs to get the premium live event portion of the evening started. We then see Triple H walking backstage and Cole informs us that he has promised a historical announcement for tonight.

WWE Bad Blood 2024 hosts Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair and Naomi come out and welcome us to the show. They announce Hell in a Cell is getting us started. The HIAC lowers as the ominous music plays. We then hear the sword swipe and Drew McIntyre’s theme hits and he emerges to a ton of boos.

CM Punk makes his grand entrance next and now it’s time for “The Best in the World” and “The Scottish Warrior” to go to hell …in a cell. Our opening match of the evening is now officially off-and-running. Punk and McIntyre exchange blows in the corner. McIntyre unloads on Punk for a second time in the corner, but the Chicago-Made one fights out of the corner with a flurry of strikes. McIntyre looks to break up the combo with a choke.

Punk tries to fight out of it but McIntyre batters him into the opposite corner and takes the first lead of the night! McIntyre with a vicious chop to Punk, then slings him out of the ring. Drew follows Phil outside and stalks him, taking his time. Both Superstars attempt to use the cage, battling in a corner. Both men exchange loud blasts before Punk whips McIntyre into the steel. Punk with a shoulder thrust, dropping Drew.

Punk takes charge, continuously slinging McIntyre into the change. The crowd pops, then erupts as Punk goes under the ring. Punk retrieves a table for another huge pop! Drew recovers while Punk’s distracted shoving the table into the ring and takes control. At one point, Drew steps on Punk’s head–which is on the steel steps. McIntyre goes under the ring and retrieves a metal toolbox, which he dumps out on the apron. A wrench, a chain, and other tools spill out.

McIntyre charges Punk with a wrench but Punk ducks it! Punk with fists to McIntyre’s face before using the wrench to scrape McIntyre’s forehead. The crowd rips off a loud Punk chant. Cole reminds us in 2004, HBK was in a 47-minute Hell in a Cell match then questions if this match will run as long. McIntyre rips the legs off a table in the ring and attempts to use it as a weapon. Punk dodges then uses a drop toehold to send McIntyre throat-first into the table’s edge. Punk uses the ripped-off legs as a weapon to choke McIntyre to a big pop.

Punk continues to maintain control, slamming Drew’s head into the table and popping the crowd big. Drew slips to the outside and Punk follows, stalking his prey around the ringside area. Punk kicks McIntyre in the gut and sets up a GTS, but McIntyre grabs the cell cage to escape. Drew with a Claymore out of nowhere! Punk is down. Both guys end up bleeding profusely moments later after some wrench shots.

We see a suplex through a table outside of the ring, and then McIntyre struggles to bring the ring steps into the ring. He eventually does and they do some spots on the steps before a sack is introduced from under the ring. It is filled with the beads used to make the infamous bracelet. Punk stuffs them in McIntyre’s mouth, wraps his knee with a chain and hits a GTS for the win. Great match.

Winner: CM Punk

WWE Women’s Championship
Nia Jax (c) vs. Bayley

Now it’s time for our first championship contest of the evening. Up for grabs in this one is the WWE Women’s Championship, as 2024 Queen of the Ring and reigning WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax defends against Bayley in our second match of the show.

Some WWE legends and Hall of Famers are shown in the crowd and then we shoot to Cathy Kelley, who are with the WWE Bad Blood 2024 hosts Cargill, Belair and Naomi, who are in a luxury box with a bunch of other wrestling legends and Hall of Famers. From there, we get the ring entrances underway for our next match.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. Jax dominates from the word “go,” but as the match progresses, we see botch after botch in what was an atrociously bad match at points. Tiffany Stratton ends up coming out with her Money In The Bank briefcase as Jax is down and out after bumping the referee, who was also out.

She laid out Bayley with the briefcase and thought about cashing it in, but as she helped the referee up, she turned to check on Nia, to make sure she was still down. The referee recovers and is holding the briefcase and Tiffy sees Nia sit up like The Undertaker out of nowhere.

She yanks the briefcase back from the ref and pleads with Jax, who gets in her face, assuring her she came out to help and not cash-in. Bayley tries rolling Jax up, but Jax kicks out, lays out Bayley and hits her finisher for the win. Nia Jax is still your WWE Women’s Champion after what will likely be the only dud performance of the five-match card this evening. Mercifully, it’s over.

Winner and STILL WWE Women’s Champion: Nia Jax

Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor

We shoot to a promotional video package segment with Xavier Woods to promote the release of the Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO video game, which is the presenting sponsor for our next match of the evening.

After the package wraps up, we get ready for that match with the video package telling the story leading up to tonight’s showdown between former Judgment Day friends turned bitter foes Damian Priest and Finn Balor.

The ring entrances take place after we see more wrestling legends and WWE Hall of Famers in the crowd at tonight’s show. Several hip-hop stars are also shown in cameo appearances in the crowd, as Michael Cole geeks-out on commentary, prompting Corey Graves to make fun of him.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. After a long staredown, we see Priest smack the heck out of Finn, dropping him. Priest takes charge immediately, battering Finn in one corner before charging him across the ring to repeat the process in the opposite corner.

The ref warns him off. Priest sends Balor into the ropes and pancakes him down into the canvas. Priest jaws off at Finn as he hammers him with stiff kicks and shots before using a strong Irish Whip to introduce Balor’s spine and the turnbuckles. Balor escapes to the apron and begins to kick Priest as he reaches through the ropes. Balor eats a kick from Priest, then tumbles to the floor. Priest heads outside, pursuing his former brother.

Priest charges, Strowman Express-style, but runs right into a Sling Blade! Balor rolls into the ring as the ref begins a to count Priest out. Finn takes control for a brief period, raking Priest’s eyes and resorting to working holds. Balor heads up top and looks for a leaping strike. Priest slugs Finn so hard and loud, commentary questions if his fist his broken and he shakes some life into it.

Priest fails to monopolize on the uppercut and Balor slaps an abdominal stretch on Priest. Finn holds the lock for several long moments before Priest can escape with a modified hip toss. Priest breathes deep, trying to fire up. Priest blocks two strikes, then levels Finn twice with big rights of his own. Priest with a mixed strike combination that again drops Balor. Priest hoists Balor up, but Finn wiggles free. Finn looks for a suplex but Priest counters with a Broken Arrow for a close two count.

After some more back-and-forth action, Priest begins taking over. He pulls down his shoulder straps, waking the crowd up. The crowd loudly boos and we see Carlito and JD McDonagh hit the ring! Carlito distracts the ref, allowing JD to hit a neck-breaker behind the ref’s back. Finn attacks the distracted Priest and hits a Coup de Grace for a close cover.

Priest kicks out to a pop. Balor looks at his the Judgment Day cohorts as the crowd loudly yeets. Finn gives them distractions. Carlito distracts the ref, and JD slides a chair in to Finn. Finn goes to strike Priest, but Priest kicks the chair into Finn’s face. Priest takes out Carlito, then JD! Finn attacks the distracted Priest, but Damian escapes. Priest looks for a South of Heaven but Finn escapes. Finn with a Coup de Grace on Priest! Finn heads back up and hits a double-foot stomp to Priest’ back! Finn heads up for a third but Priest catches him mid-air and hits the South of Heaven Chokeslam for the win.

Winner: Damian Priest

Paul “Triple H” Levesque Unveils WWE Crown Jewel Championship Title Belt

Now the theme for Paul “Triple H” Levesque hits and out comes the WWE Chief Content Officer to the ring to make his promised historical announcement.

The WWE CCO announced that when WWE Crown Jewel 2024 takes place in four weeks in Saudi Arabia as part of Riyadh Season, this year history will be made because it will be the beginning of a new era for WWE.

An annual event that will take place with Crown Jewel where the reigning WWE Champion will face the reigning World Champion for both the men and the women’s divisions. The catch is, neither title will be on-the-line, but he promised there will be a definitive winner, and that winner will be crowned 2024’s Crown Jewel Champion.

“The Game” then unveiled a massive WWE Crown Jewel Championship title belt to gasps from the crowd. He said it is 50 karats in diamonds that will signify the winner as the best of the best in WWE for both the men and the women.

GUNTHER Calls Out Bill Goldberg, Sami Zayn Hits The Scene

Following the promised historical announcement from the WWE Chief Content Officer, while he was still standing in the ring, the theme for GUNTHER hit and the reigning WWE World Champion made his way to the ring.

“The Ring General” pointed out Bill Goldberg in the crowd and mentioned how he told Bret Hart that Goldberg was his favorite wrestler as a kid. He told Goldberg that wasn’t true, asking how a wrestling technician like himself could grow up idolizing a one-trick pony like Goldberg.

Goldberg kept his cool until GUNTHER went one step too far, pointing out Goldberg’s son, Gage Goldberg, sitting next to him in the crowd. He made a crack about Gage needing a better father than Bill, which led to Goldberg taking off his hat, hopping the barricade and being restrained by ringside security.

Sami Zayn ended up running out and attacking GUNTHER from behind in the ring, and Goldberg ended up in the ring as well. Goldberg was acknowledged one final time to the crowd as his theme played and fans chanted “Goldberg! Goldberg!”

WWE Women’s World Championship (Dominik Mysterio In Shark Cage)
Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

After a quick break, we head to the pre-match video to tell the story leading up to our next championship contest, which features Liv Morgan defending against Rhea Ripley, while Dominik Mysterio is suspended in a shark cage above the ring.

We see some quick check-ins with more legends in the crowd, another visit to the luxury box with hosts of tonight’s show, Cargill, Belair and Naomi, who are with Metro Boomin. Boomin smells something bad, and suddenly, everyone else does as well. Chelsea Green comes in cleaned up, but apparently still stinking from her Dumpster Match.

Following some brief bad comedy stemming from that, we head back inside State Farm Arena, where Dominik Mysterio makes a grand entrance in a low-rider. Liv Morgan is then introduced and the WWE Women’s World Champion makes her way out and joins Dom-Dom in the ring before he is suspended in a shark cage above the ring.

Rhea Ripley’s theme hits next and the crowd roars as “Mami” makes her way down to the ring. She stops and shows off the new Dominik Mysterio toilet paper available at WWE Shop, admires the shark cage Dom-Dom will be locked in momentarily, and then heads inside the ring for her big title opportunity.

It’s time for our fourth match of the evening, which is positioned as the co-main event of tonight’s PLE in ATL. Ripley gets on the mic and takes joy in demanding the shark cage Dom is locked in be raised. It is. The match begins. Liv Morgan looks to attack Rhea while she’s distracted by Dom, but Ripley quickly recovers and begins literally tossing Liv across the ring. Ripley easily drops the champ before sending her outside. Ripley pursues, and Morgan shoves the challenger into the steel steps. Ripley again recovers rapidly and takes the action back inside. Morgan rolls outside to buy herself some time.

Ripley quickly heads outside and begins to toy with the champion, sending her into the barricade hard. The crowd chants for Mami as she takes it back inside. Corey Graves comments that he hopes Ripley meets a nice fellow, someone strong with muscles and from Australia. Morgan begins to get some offense in, taking the challenger down and kicking her in the gut. Morgan take sit inside and continues to pummel Ripley with kicks. Liv sends Ripley into the corner and charges in with a strike.

Morgan looks for a half-crab on Rhea’s “bad” left knee. Morgan keeps the lock cinched in for several moments in the middle of the ring. Ripley attempts to break out with back elbow strikes, but Morgan slips down out of striking range and slaps on a calf hold. Ripley escapes and drops Morgan with a series of clotheslines. Ripley with a ripcord into a gut-kick, followed by a bridging suplex pin attempt. Morgan gets the shoulders up at two. Morgan slows the pace as she focuses her offense on Ripley’s left knee. Morgan pounds away at a vulnerable Ripley in the corner, using the ring post to inflict further damage on Ripley’s left knee.

The crowd loudly chants “Dom, you suck!” Morgan continues to use the ring post to stretch and twist Rhea’s knee before sending Ripley to the ground. Morgan whips Rhea shoulder-first into the barricade. The crowd is, generally, dead for this match. Morgan again sends Ripley into the barricade before rolling in and out of the ring to break the ref’s count. Morgan eventually climbs the middle turnbuckle and hits a Code Breaker for a two-count. Morgan looks for an ObLIVion but Rhea escapes! Liv hits her new move, which Graves informs us is called the “Home Wrecker,” and nearly picks up the win. Liv rises and kicks Rhea in the back of the head repeatedly, taunting her opponent. “That’s my title! That’s my man! You’re nothing,” she screams before pummeling Rhea yet again.

Liv with a suplex–no, wait, she holds on and is looking for the Three Amigos! The crowd loudly boos this. Morgan connects with the first two Amigos but Rhea blocks the Third from visiting. Ripley with a Razor’s Edge! The champ is down! Dom gets his cage open–Cole thinks Dom picked the lock and wonders if Dom learned that in prison. Ripley heads up top, staring right at Dom as she does the Eddie Guerrero shuffle. Rhea with a Frog Splash off the top for another close cover! Ripley locks in a submission but Liv eventually escapes.

Rhea slows the pace, taking time to stare up at Dom as Liv rolls to the outside, beneath the hanging cage (it’s over the ramp, not the ring). Ripley works over the champ and mocks Dom at the same time, giving him a front-row seat as she dismantles the “love of his life.” Riptide to the champ on the entrance ramp! The ref continues his count, so Rhea takes it inside. Dom somehow falls out of the cage and his leg is caught in a chain or something. Rhea laughs at him and heads outside, slapping at the stuck Mysterio. Rhea heads back inside; the champ is still down. Rhea Ripley is shown by a different camera angle, asking the ref for a minute to whoop Dom’s ass! The ref tells her to do it, as she deserves it. Ripley gets a kendo stick from under the ring to a pop. Rhea slowly approaches Dom, says “happy birthday to me” in the camera, then beats Dom like a piñata over and over! Suddenly Raquel Rodriguez suddenly shows up and attacks Rhea, causing the DQ!

Winner and STILL WWE Women’s World Champion: Liv Morgan

MAIN EVENT
Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu

It’s main event time!

The theme for the Bloodline hits after the video package airs showing the road to tonight’s big tag-team main event. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu make their way out to the ring to a ton of heat from the Atlanta crowd. They settle in the ring and their music dies down.

The University of Arkansas Pine Bluff marching band are introduced and they perform their version of Cody Rhodes’ theme song. It was okay. Nothing great. Thankfully the real music hits after they finish, and Cody Rhodes comes out in a cool war mask and is joined by the marching band as he heads to the ring.

The Georgia Philharmonic make their way out and help introduce “The Original Tribal Chief” as Roman Reigns emerges and makes his grand entrance, complete with pyro and fireworks and laser lights. You’re not going to out-do Roman Reigns with a big elaborate ring walk, folks! The entrances are in the rear view, and it’s time to go to battle in our final match of the show.

After the bell sounds, we see Reigns and Rhodes discuss who will start things out for their team. It will be Rhodes. The Bloodline duo does the same, and Jacob Fatu starts things off for them. Fatu uses a side headlock and Irish Whip to send the Undisputed Champ into the ropes. Both men collide and neither budges. Rhodes with a quick slide and a Goldust-style, drop-down punch-up, followed by a Disaster Kick! Fatu shrugs it off and immediately fires off a Superkick for a non-sell job. Roman Reigns tags in and the crowd rips off a loud “OTC” chant.

Reigns tags back out before anything happens and Rhodes squares off with Fatu again. The crowd with a loud “f*ck you, Solo” chant. Fatu continues to stall; it’s been a minute since anyone’s do anything other than tag in and out. Solo tags in and Rhodes slowly evaluates the situation, letting the crowd rip off another OTC chant before teasing a tag to Roman. This is old-school, 80’s storytelling-wrestling Roman Reigns tags in and, for the first time since WrestleMania 40, enters the ring as a competitor. Roman and Solo circle as the crowd readies for the two tribal chiefs to slug it out. Roman starts first, attacking Solo Roman whips Solo into the ropes but Sikoa counters with a kick and ropes Reigns. Roman recovers and takes Solo into the corner for mounted ten-count punches.

Solo makes a mistake in taunting Reigns; the OTC fires back, battering the impostor before Solo Jacob Fatu enters the ring illegally. The ref warns Fatu to exit the ring; the distraction allows Solo to attack Roman from behind. Solo begins talking trash, yelling “who’s the real tribal chief?” and yells for Roman to “get your ass up.” Solo turns his attention to the crowd, taunting them, then slows the pace as he spends more time taunting than striking. Solo with a charging hip strike to Roman in the corner. Solo finally tags in Fatu, who kicks up the speed with a running hip strike of his own. Fatu yells at Roman and strikes Roman with fists and headbutts.

Fatu pulls Reigns up in the corner and thrusts shoulder strikes into his abdomen. Fatu repeatedly tells Roman that Solo is Reigns’ tribal chief. Fatu looks for a running splash in the corner but Roman dodges. Roman dodges a charging Fatu once again, sending him out the ropes to the floor. Rhodes tries to fire up the crowd and calls for a hot tag. Reigns hits it and Rhodes enters, clashing with Fatu in the middle of the ring. Strikes from the champ to get the Samoan Werewolf off balance. A powerslam lays out Fatu, but only briefly. Rhodes uses his father’s striking combination to a big pop. Cody follows it up with a Cody Cutter to leave Fatu down on the mat finally!

Rhodes looks for a Cross Rhodes but Sikoa distracts. Fatu capitalizes and hits a pop-up Samoan Drop (those are in fashion tonight, it seems). Solo tags in and hits a Spinning Solo to Rhodes on the hardened apron. Fatu and Sikoa continue to waste precious time, taunting the crowd and their opponents. Rhodes reaches out for a tag but Sikoa prevents it and again mocks Reigns. Sikoa stomps and stands on Rhodes’ taped right hand. As the ref is distracted by Sikoa, Fatu hits a sucker strike on Rhodes. Sikoa pulls Rhodes up, and Rhodes attempts to escape. Sikoa holds onto Rhodes’ right hand, refusing to let him tag Reigns in.

Sikoa tags in Fatu, and they hit a double team attack on Rhodes–an old fashioned Wishbone! Fatu stares down Roman Reigns then turns his attention to Rhodes. Corey Graves & Michael Cole praise the old-school tag team feel to this match. Fatu looks for a missile attack on Rhodes and connects, then yells that he loves his Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa. After some more back-and-forth action, it seems like The Bloodline has it won, when Jimmy Uso makes his surprise return and helps Cody and Roman get the win.

Winners: Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns

The Rock Returns

After the match, The Bloodline attacked again, until they were beat down by Reigns, Jimmy Uso and Cody. Reigns and Cody had a moment and then we hear, “If ya smell!” and out comes The People’s Champion, The Final Boss, The Rock. He stares at the ring with The People’s Championship gifted to him by Muhammad Ali’s widow over his shoulder as his iconic theme song plays and the crowd reacts. That’s how the show goes off the air. Thanks for joining us!
