AEW star Big Bill recently appeared on Barstool Rasslin’s podcast to discuss his current run and other topics.

Bill is involved in Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree storyline, and there have been rumors that he will split from Jericho soon to become a singles star.

On being almost 5 years sober:

“I’ve been pretty open about my problems. My alcoholism was horrendous, and now four years sober, going to be coming up on five years sober around the Super Bowl upcoming year. It’s been quite a journey, man. I mean, my career, you know, ups and then downs, ups, downs, and now I’m definitely on an upswing. I feel like now I have a second chance. A second chance, not just at wrestling, but a second chance at life. I have a very good life. I have my fiance who I’m getting married to in December. I love her family. I have our dogs. I have a second chance at life because for a while there, that didn’t seem like it was going to continue. It got really bad. I have a second chance at life. So it’s like, I gotta put 100% into everything I’m doing. At work, it’s like, don’t complain, put your head down, work hard, do what you’re told, and eventually it’s gonna pay off.”

On Jon Moxley giving him advice:

“He’s an interesting guy and he’s very honest, especially with me. I’ve asked him for advice before, and he has said, ‘Don’t ever fu**ing do that again. That sucked.’ You know, he’s just a straight shooter, so he’s helped me tremendously.”

On wanting nZo (Enzo Amore) to return to wrestling:

“I’m still good friends with nZo. He’s the fu**ing man. People ask me about nZo all the time, and I tell them he might be the only person I know that’s a one of one. There’s no one else on the planet like him. He is a one of one. You cannot replicate him. He is an incredibly talented guy. I really hope he gets another shot in pro wrestling. He’s too talented not to. He’s so clever, unique, like, wrote most of his own promos. He’s just a funny guy. He’s very clever. He’s very unique. One of one. He walks in a room and you just know he’s there without even looking.”
