Marigold owner Rossy Ogawa recently spoke with Tokyo Sports on a number of topics including when he began negotiations with WWE about collaborating. According to Ogawa, talks started back in March and continued into April when he met WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque at WrestleMania XL.
Ogawa said, “Our connection with Giulia played a crucial role. WWE responded positively to our request. The final step was adjusting the schedule, which was recently finalized.”
Ogawa also pointed out that WWE’s interest in signing Giulia is well-known, and sending IYO SKY to compete at the upcoming event was part of a “mutual agreement” between the two sides. SKY will be facing Utami Hayashishita at the Marigold Summer Destiny event on Saturday, July 13th.
