“Absolute” Ricky Starks teamed up with Big Bill during Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision to face Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin) in an AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinals matchup. The winner will advance to the semifinals, where new tag team champions will be crowned.
At some point in the match, Starks reportedly suffered an injury, and an audible was called as the match seemingly ended abruptly. The ringside physicians then checked on Starks right away, as he looked dazed. Top Flight ended up winning the match, and they will now face FTR in the tournament semifinals.
There is no word yet on the injury Starks suffered as well as the severity of the injury, but updates will be provided once it becomes available.
Ricky Starks appeared to get legitimately hurt tonight in his match against Top Flight. Didn’t kick out of a pin earlier in the match and then they scrambled to do an improvised finish where he lost anyway.
