AEW’s next pay-per-view event, Dynasty, is expected to sell out, following the huge success of Revolution earlier this month.
The promotion’s Dynasty event will take place on Sunday, April 21, at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. This is the first event in the promotion’s series of events, which will grow in number each year.
The first match for the show has already been confirmed by the promotion, which pits Bryan Danielson against Will Ospreay. According to what AEW has been teasing on television, the promotion will feature AEW World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe vs. Swerve Strickland, Kazuchika Okada vs. Pac for the Continental Title, Mercedes Mone against TBS Champion Julia Hart or Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm defending the Women’s Title against Thunder Rosa, and The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn vs. Jay White & Gunn Brothers for the Trios Title. In addition, the Tag Team Title Tournament finals will take place, with new champions being crowned.
WrestleTix, which does an excellent job of tracking ticket sales, reports that the performance sold 5,321 tickets with 783 remaining, for a current total of 6,104. The most recent Collision episode, on January 20th, got 3,109 viewers.
More tickets may be released as the venue’s capacity increases. The highest-attended AEW show at the venue was a Rampage episode in November 2021, which drew 5,333 fans.
