WWE NXT Review – February 13, 2024

Kicking off this week’s NXT with Von Wagner & Mr Stone attacking Meta 4 in the locker room then the action spills into the ringside area as Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson run down behind them.

Tag Team Match
Meta 4 (Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar & Oro Mensah) vs. Von Wagner & Mr Stone

Mr Stone hits a bodyslam to Noam Dar & Von Wagner gets Oro Mensah in the ring.

The bell sounds and Stone tags in & Wagner hits a sidewalk slam and Stone flies off the 2nd rope. He clocks Dar on the apron but walks into a kick from Mensah.

Mensah whips Stone into the corner then tags in Dar and fires off stomps on Stone.

He fires off elbow strikes on him and Mensah stomps on his neck from the apron after the referee becomes distracted by Wagner getting inside the ring.

Dar lands a sidewalk slam on Stone then tags Mensah back in then Meta 4 take turns tagging out to one another and continue beating down Stone.

Dar becomes legal again, and Stone sends Mensah crashing out of the ring then sends Dar out to join him with a jawbreaker and tags Wagner in.

Wagner delivers a boot and plants Dar then lands a double chokeslam on Dar and Mensah. Stone tags in and delivers a splash to Dar off Wagner’s shoulders.

He goes for a pin but Mensah breaks the fall then Stone sends Mensah crashing out of the ring and flies but Mensah moves out of the way.

Wagner hits a boot to Mensah from the apron but Dar rolls him up but Wagner kicks out and looks to land a powerbomb.

Before he can Legend & Jackson hop up on the apron grabbing the referee’s attention.

Mensah takes advantage and delivers a chop block to Wagner’s leg and Dar pins him for the win.

Winners: Meta 4

We get a video recap of Carmelo Hayes attacking NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov last week.

After the break we see the Chase U class materials being returned to the school and Duke Hudson have his MVP Trophy returned to him. Andre Chase welcomes fans to Chase U and shouts out Jacy Jayne for saving the school. Thea Hail goes over to talk to Riley Osborne while Jayne gives Adriana Rizzo an envelope. She tells her calendar projections were higher than expected and asks her to put in a good word for Chase & Hudson about a future NXT Tag Team Titles shot. Rizzo agrees.

Gauntlet Match
Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) vs. Ridge Holland

Ridge Holland vs. Wolfgang

Gallus surrounds Ridge Holland until Wolfgang reveals himself as Holland’s first opponent.

The bell rings and Holland sends Wolfgang crashing into the mat.

He fires off stomps on him but Wolfgang responds with a knee to Holland’s midsection and fires off stomps on him in the corner.

He connects with an uppercut and looks to land a running splash then Holland drapes Wolfgang on the apron and delivers a running knee to him but Wolfgang manages to land a senton on him in the ring and follows it up with a right hand and a headbutt.

He connects with an uppercut and looks to land a suplex but Holland blocks it and looks to hit one on Wolfgang.

Wolfgang blocks Holland’s attempts and they take turns trying to land a suplex on one another before Holland hits one on Wolfgang as we go to a break.

After the break we see that Holland eliminated Wolfgang with a bodyslam.

Winner: Ridge Holland

Ridge Holland vs. Mark Coffey

Mark Coffey is next in the match and he hits an elbow to Holland’s knee.

He fires off stomps on it and stomps on Holland’s calf as he targets Holland’s lower leg.

Holland delivers a boot to Mark’s face but Mark ascends to the middle and looks to fly.

Holland catches him and plants him with a slam then hits a pair of uppercuts and a headbutt.

He then connects with a belly 2 belly suplex to Mark and lands a spinebuster then lands a bodyslam and goes for a pin.

Joe Coffey pulls Holland out of the ring and Holland strikes him so the referee then calls for the bell.

Winner By DQ: Ridge Holland

After the match Gallus continues beating down Holland as Wolfgang brings a chair into the ring and hands it to Mark. Mark looks to hit Holland with it as Joe & Wolfgang hold it in place but Holland gets hold of the chair and cracks it across Gallus.

We then head backstage and see Von Wagner & Mr Stone into Lexis King. King tells Stone he must be sick and tired of losing all the time and Wagner tells King to leave before he does King tells Stone he knows his kids are desperate to look up to a star like him and Stone becomes irate.

After the break No Quarter Catch Crew looks at the Heritage Cup before Noam Dar & Oro Mensah confronted them. Drew Gulak told Mensah & Dar that while they chased managers, they would aim to restore prestige to the Heritage Cup.

Lola Vice vs. Tatum Paxley

Lola Vice wastes no time as she fires off right hands on Tatum Paxley but Paxley manages to roll her up but Vice kicks out and Paxley lands an elbow drop.

She charges at her in the corner but Vice catches her with a knee to her midsection as she charges at her.

She follows it up with a Scissor Kick to Paxley’s spine and several knees to her midsection then rains down right hands on her in the corner.

Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria runs down to the ring to encourage Paxley & Paxley delivers a dropkick to Vice.

She follows it up with a step up enzuigiri and rolls up Vice but Vice kicks out and connects with a roundhouse kick. She goes for a pin but Paxley kicks out.

Vice then lands a back fist and goes for another pin but Paxley manifest to kick out for a 2nd time.

Vice hits another roundhouse kick to Paxley’s head and pins her once again but Paxley gets her foot on the bottom rope to break the hold.

Vice then locks in a submission hold on Paxley & Paxley tries hanging on but she can’t and is forced to tap out.

Winner By Submission: Lola Vice

After the match Valkyria carries Paxley to the back.

We then head backstage and see Luca Crusifino introduce himself to Tony D’Angelo in the locker room. Crusifino leaves and D’Angelo then strategizes with the rest of The Family for their upcoming matches.

After the break we see Valkyria officially grant Shotzi a shot at the Women’s Title next week. She tells Shotzi that she’ll talk to Ava to make things official after she makes sure Paxley is alright.

Jaida Parker vs. Adriana Rizzo

Match starts off with a lock up before Adriana Rizzo hits a knee to Jaida Parker’s midsection.

She looks to follow it up with a dropkick but Parker intercepts it and fires off stomps and right hands on her in the corner.

Rizzo lands a dropkick on Parker then rains down right hands on her and follows it up with a suplex. Parker then sends Rizzo crashing into the ring post shoulder first.

Parker levels Rizzo with a chop and a suplex then goes for a pin.

Rizzo kicks out and Parker locks her in a submission but Rizzo makes her way back up to her feet.

She delivers a pair of strikes and a few right hands to Parker’s midsection then plants her with a suplex and charges at her in the corner.

Parker catches her and plants her then delivers a right hand to her spine and connects with a sliding forearm for the win.

Winner: Jaida Parker

We then head over to a video and see Dijak become frustrated over Joe Gacy costing him his match against Ilja Dragunov last week in his liar. He grabs a back and storms off.

2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Winners The Wolf Dogs spoke backstage ahead of their match tonight for the NXT Tag Team Titles. Baron Corbin told Bron Breakker to not get distracted by the main roster offers from Nick Aldis & Adam Pearce but Breakker responded by saying that he should focus on the match and not on the win of the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 Superbowl. They agreed to go as The Wolf Dogs if they win the NXT Tag Team Titles tonight.

Joe Gacy vs. Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes wastes no time as he fires off strikes on Joe Gacy but Gacy catches him with a back body drop and sends him crashing into 2 of the top turnbuckles face first.

Hayes stops him from doing so a 3rd time but Gacy lands a suplex on him.

Hayes goes after Gacy’s ankle then lands a springboard clothesline and a chop in the corner.

Gacy fires off several of his own on Hayes in the opposite corner then fires off headbutts and follows it up with a senton.

Gacy wears Hayes down with a couple submission holds then lands a backbreaker and a back body drop. Hayes responds by firing off right hands on Gacy.

Gacy rolls under the ring to the other side much to the confusion of Hayes. Gacy surprises him with a tope suicida.

After the break Hayes as a single leg Boston Crab locked in on Gacy but Gacy fights his way out of the hold and hits a back elbow then hits a single leg drop kick and a suplex.

Gacy lands a uranage on Hayes then follows it up with a Death Valley Driver and sits Hayes on the top rope.

He climbs up to join him but Hayes fights him off and flies but Gacy moves out of the way and Hayes lands on his feet.

Hayes hits a few elbow strikes to Gacy but gets caught with a slam by Gacy.

Gacy looks for The Upside Down but Hayes catches him with a Codebreaker and follows it up with Nothing But Net for the win.

Winner: Carmelo Hayes

After the match Dijak attacks Gacy and hits him with his nightstick then grabs the bag from earlier and pulls a straitjacket out of it & puts it on Gacy as Gacy laughs then hits a boot to him.

We head backstage to the women’s locker room and see Kelani Jordan & Karmen Petrovic hype up Brinley Reece for her upcoming match against Kiana James. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson walk in and advise Reece not to listen to Jordan or Petrovic leading to a verbal altercation.

Roxanne Perez threw a tantrum backstage over Lyra Valkyria giving Shotzi a Women’s Title shot instead of her. Wren Sinclair tried to calm Perez down but Perez punches Sinclair in the face.

After the break we head over to a video with a mysterious message similar to the one from last week: Goodness is a man’s struggle. Evil however is human nature.

North American Champion Oba Femi says you can’t argue with prophecy. He says he is still North American Champion, the mountain of NXT and the man. He calls Dragon Lee a proud warrior after their title match at Vengeance Day, and says while anyone can be sent to try and take his title from him they won’t be sent back.

Lexis King marches down to the ring and congratulates Femi on all his success. He says there’s something he’s wanted to get off his chest and says while Femi calls himself The Ruler everyone knows he’s The King. He says he softened up Lee for Femi to dethrone him as North American Champion and takes credit for placing the title on his shoulders. He says he’ll be the one to take it off and Femi informs King he doesn’t deal with empty threats. King says that wasn’t a threat but rather a promise and Femi grabs him a North American Title match next week. He promises King that it won’t be a throne he sits on anytime soon.

King then attacks Femi but Femi overpowers him. King then retreats up the ramp.

Backstage Josh Briggs was speaking with Dion Lennox & Je’Von Evans before Brooks Jensen calls Briggs out & they brawled.

Kiana James vs. Brinley Reece

Match starts off with a lock up before the action spills out of the ring and Izzi Dame clocks Brinley Reece while the referee is distracted by Kiana James.

James fires off stomps on her in the corner once she’s back inside the ring then hits a shoulder to her midsection and follows it up with a twisting neckbreaker.

Reece lands a jawbreaker and a pair of shoulder tackles then hits James with a clothesline and gets her up on her shoulders.

She hits a variation of a neckbreaker but James fires back with 401K then Deal Breaker for the win.

Winner: Kiana James

Ava was confronted by Roxanne Perez backstage regarding her giving the Women’s Title shot to Shotzi but Ava scolded Perez for randomly punching Wren Sinclair backstage then makes a match between Sinclair & Perez official for next week.

Malik Blade & Edris Enofe were speaking backstage before Brinley Reece appeared backstage. Enofe was bamboozled at Reece being very positive after her loss.

NXT Tag Team Titles Match
The Family (Tony D’Angelo & Stacks) (c) vs. 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Winners The Wolf Dogs (Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin)

Tony D’Angelo & Bron Breakker lock up to get this match started before Breakker lands a shoulder tackle on D’Angelo but D’Angelo catches Breakker with one of his own and tags Stacks in.

D’Angelo hits a bodyslam to Stacks & Stacks pins him but Breakker kicks out.

Corbin tags in and sends Stacks crashing into the top turnbuckle but Stacks hits a shoulder to his midsection from the apron.

Corbin then looks to fly off the middle rope but Stacks catches him with a right hand to his midsection and tags in D’Angelo.

D’Angelo fires off a pair of right hands on Corbin’s midsection but Corbin sends him crashing into the corner and lands a Death Valley Driver.

Stacks lands a tornado DDT on him but Breakker levels him before turning around into a powerbomb from D’Angelo as we go to a break.

After the break Corbin hits Deep Six to Stacks then fires off right hands on his midsection then sits him on the top turnbuckle.

Stacks fights him off with a series of right hands then connects with a diving uppercut.

D’Angelo & Breakker tag in and D’Angelo hits The Wolf Dogs with belly 2 belly suplexes.

Breakker catches him with an open palm strike and looks to fly off the middle rope but D’Angelo catches him with a spinebuster and helps Stacks fly to level The Wolf Dogs on the outside.

Stacks tags in and delivers a neckbreaker/powerbomb combination with D’Angelo before Corbin tags in and looks to powerbomb Stacks.

Stacks counters into a pin but Corbin kicks out. D’Angelo & Breakker tag in and Breakker hits an assisted powerslam to him with Corbin.

Everyone winds up on the outside and D’Angelo lands a right hand on Breakker.

He sends Corbin crashing into the ring steps and Breakker through the announce table with some help from Stacks.

D’Angelo gets Breakker back in the ring and pins him but Corbin breaks up the fall.

Stacks tags in and gets caught with a back elbow by Corbin then lands End of Days on him but D’Angelo takes him down. Breakker then hits a spear to Stacks for the win.
