There’s a lot of speculation online about who will be revealed as The Devil ahead of the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view.
During the AEW Worlds End media call, Tony Khan stated that he expects the Devil storyline to conclude at the pay-per-view, and he strongly implied that we will learn who the person behind the mask who has been behind the attack on several AEW stars is.
Some fans believe the person behind the mask is MJF or Adam Cole, while others believe it is Jack Perry or someone released by WWE. It is unknown who will be revealed, but Shawn Spears was one of the Devil’s henchmen, according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Spears’ AEW contract is set to expire in a few days, which means he won’t be part of the core group of people assisting The Devil. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett are rumored (but not confirmed) to be among the key players. If that’s true, it lends credence to the theory that Adam Cole has been wearing the mask the entire time.
We’ll find out at the pay-per-view.
