The December 29 episode of AEW Rampage was taped Wednesday night at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. Here are spoilers, courtesy of PWInsider.com:
– “The Ocho” Chris Jericho cut a promo and ended up mending things over with Sammy Guevara who came to the ring.
– Wheeler Yuta (c) def. Matt Sydal via The Seatbelt to retain his ROH Pure Championship. Danhausen made his way down to the ring, but Yuta attacked him and FTW Champion HOOK made the save.
– Ruby Soho def. Marina Shafir. Harley Cameron distracted the referee allowing Soho to roll up Shafir with the tights for the win.
– AEW International Champion “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero def. Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin) and Action Andretti in a 6-Man Tag Team Match.
After the show went off the air, AEW President Tony Khan brought out -1 to celebrate with the faces. Khan then touts Revolution 2022 as perhaps the best PPV they have done which was the last show in the arena prior to that night. Khan then said they plan to come to Orlando more often.
