NJPW star Tetsuya Naito recently spoke with Tokyo Sports on a number of topics including how he is excited to reunite with AEW star Andrade El Idolo in a NJPW ring or a CMLL ring.
Naito said, “I’m happy and I want to stand with him again, whether it’s in the New Japan ring or the CMLL ring. He’s one of my mentors who changed my life.”
He also talked about being inspired that El Idolo and RUSH have become bigger stars in the industry.
“It’s inspiring for me to see those two becoming bigger [stars]. Both of them are stepping up, and each of them has realized just how big Los Ingobernables was. I’m proving it. I’m going to call myself LIJ as long as I’m still active. Why do I keep doing it? I want to leave a place for them to come back. After all, they are uncontrollable guys. I wouldn’t mind if they jump in and join us at next year’s Fantastica Mania.”
