Bayley has fans talking this morning after posting a photo of herself with Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks) on social media.
Mone and Bayley had memorable WWE matches with and against each other. They also held the Women’s Tag Team Titles a few times because they were a big supporter of WWE introducing the championships in the first place.
Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Shotzi will face Damage CTRL (Asuka, Bayley, IYO SKY, and Kairi Sane) at the WWE Survivor Series premium live event from Chicago, IL, this Saturday night at the Allstate Arena. Sane returned to WWE at Crown Jewel to assist SKY in retaining the Women’s Championship over Belair.
Mone and Trinity Fatu, formerly known as Naomi, left WWE in May 2022 due to creative differences. Months later, they were released, with Mone joining NJPW and Fatu joining Impact. Mone, who is still under contract with NJPW, is expected to return from injury soon. When she returns, she is also expected to make her AEW debut.
Bayley posted this throwback photo of herself, Asuka, Sane, and Mone on her Instagram story with the caption, “I’ve always got a plan.” Fans believe Mone is returning to the company, but there have been no reports to support that speculation.
It’s also highly unlikely to happen at Survivor Series because she just signed a new contract with NJPW before getting injured.
