Backstage News On WWE Doing More International PLEs In 2024 And Beyond

WWE fans should expect more international events and shows to be held in locations ready to pay for them in the future. The company has held Backlash in Puerto Rico, Money in the Bank in the United Kingdom, and will make at least one more international visit this year.

Crown Jewel will be taking place from Saudi Arabia on November 4, 2023. Three weeks later, at the United Center in Chicago, IL, Survivor Series will take place, and the locations for the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 40 have been announced to take place in the United States.

WWE previously confirmed that next year’s Elimination Chamber would take place in February at Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, while the WWE Bash in Berlin will take place on August 31, 2024, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany.

Cleveland, Ohio, had previously been mentioned as a possible location for WWE Summerslam 2024.

WWE Backlash is scheduled to take place in Paris, France in the spring of 2024.

WWE was paid a significant sum of money to hold its Royal Rumble PLE at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 27, much like they have done with previous events.

Dave Meltzer stated in the current edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE is in contact with potential local governments to host SummerSlam.

Meltzer wrote, “We were told regarding that show that WWE is in negotiations with a lot of different city governments around the world to get significant money for PPV events going forward with Paris being one of those cities.”
