WWE maintains its global expansion strategy through the hosting of its high-profile live events in different countries.
They hosted Backlash in Puerto Rico earlier this year before taking Money in the Bank to Europe. They’ve already confirmed hosting next year’s Elimination Chamber from Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, and WWE Bash in Berlin from the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, on August 31, 2024.
Every year, WWE hosts two PLEs from Saudi Arabia, with Crown Jewel being the next stop.
The top matches for that show are Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre, and WWE United States Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Logan Paul.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, fans should not expect WWE to slow down on international shows because “some internal schedules in the company also have WWE Backlash listed for Paris, France in Spring of 2024.”
That has yet to be finalized, but the possibility has been heavily discussed.
