Update On Possible Champion vs. Champion Match At WWE Survivor Series

WWE is gearing up for Crown Jewel PLE next month before shifting its attention to Survivor Series on November 25th.

The top matches on the Crown Jewel card are Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre.

As previously reported, WWE will bring back the WarGames theme for Survivor Series, but there has been speculation that WWE will also return to the RAW vs. SmackDown theme.

While recapping Monday’s RAW on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that there are no plans to have Rollins vs. Reigns in a champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series, despite speculation that WWE may have teased it on Monday night.

Bryan Alvarez said, “It seemed like they were maybe building up to a Roman Reigns Seth Rollins match down the road.”

Meltzer replied, “I didn’t sense that.”

Alvarez responded, “Not imminently. But they did that in Survivor Series for years and years and years.”

Meltzer added, “They’re not going to do that. I can tell you for sure. That’s not on this year’s Survivor Series.”
