The usual “This is Rampage, baby!” theme and opening video airs and then we shoot inside the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis, IN.

Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament
Jay Lethal vs. Penta El Zero Miedo

Fireworks explode and Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Chris Jericho welcome us to the show. We head right to the ring for our opening contest.

In Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament action, we have Jay Lethal and Penta El Zero Miedo kicking things off tonight. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one.

We see Penta dominating the action early on. Satnam Singh ends up catching him on the floor and slamming him into the ring post. Karen Jarrett then ties his mask to the bottom ropes so he’s stuck. The ref catches this.

As the referee ejects Satnam Singh, Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt and Karen Jarrett from ringside, we see Lethal continuing to work over Penta as we head into a mid-match commercial break.

When we return from the break, we see Lethal dominating the action and taking it to Penta as the fans try and rally behind one-half of The Lucha Bros. Penta hits a sling blade and knocks Lethal out to the floor where he connects with a big diving splash.

Lethal takes over again on offense after the match returns in the ring. Each time he knocks him down he starts to untie the mask of Penta more and more. He goes for a figure four leg lock but Penta fights back. Lethal ends up yanking Penta’s mask completely off.

With Penta’s mask off, the ref tends to him. With the ref distracted, Lethal goes for Jarrett’s guitar at ringside. Alex Abrahantes grabs it to stop him. Penta gets his mask back on and hits Lethal with a big move and then snaps the arm of Lethal before hitting a Fear Factor for the win. With the win, Penta advances in the tourney.

Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara To Fight It Out At Grand Slam

We shoot to the commentators and they talk us through footage of Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho’s shoving match on Dynamite. Jericho reacts to it but is interrupted by Sammy Guevara’s theme.

Out comes “The Spanish God” and as he does, Jericho leaves his position at the commentary desk. The fans immediately chant “Hug it out!” Guevara gets on the mic and says Chris is pissing him off. He says he knows he’s pissing Chris off, too.

Chris agrees. Sammy says he wants to punch Chris in the face. Chris wants to do the same thing. The two close in on each other and go face to face. Sammy says he wants to punch him right now. Chris says they’re obviously getting on each others nerves.

Jericho mentions their victory over Aussie Open and goal of capturing the tag titles. Jericho says they need to get this animosity out of their system, fight, get it over with and then get back on their path to gold. They agree to a match against each other at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.

Taya Valkyrie, The Bunny & Anna Jay vs. Hikaru Shida, Skye Blue & Britt Baker

When we return from the break, the three-woman team of Taya Valkyrie, The Bunny and Anna Jay make their way out and head to the ring for our next match, which will be Trios action.

After they settle in the ring, the theme for Hikaru Shida hits and out she comes. She stops and is joined by Skye Blue. The two wait for their partner, Britt Baker. Her music hits and the three head to the ring together.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. Kicking things off for their respective teams are The Bunny and Skye Blue. After some back-and-forth action, we head into a mid-match commercial break with the heel team in the offensive lead.

As we settle back in from the break, we see Hikaru Shida duking it out with Anna Jay and bringing her team back into competitive form. Taya Valkyrie tags in and takes over but Skye Blue hits the ring to help. Britt Baker tags in and starts cleaning house. She calls for the glove and puts it on. She eventually gets Lock Jaw for the win.

Winners: Hikaru Shida, Skye Blue & Britt Baker

Matt Menard & Angelo Parker vs. The Young Bucks

Now we see footage of HOOK’s FTW title win from ALL IN in London and then we return inside the coliseum where “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard and “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker make their way out accompanied by Jake Hager.

The duo settle in the ring and their music dies down. Now the familiar sounds of The Young Bucks’ theme hits and out comes Matt and Nick Jackson for our next match of the evening in the AEW tag-team division.

From there, the bell sounds and we see Parker and Jackson kick things off for their respective teams. We immediately see The Young Bucks hitting some double-team spots to jump into the early offensive lead.

Throughout the match we hear Jericho talking about how sad it is to see his former J.A.S. members without him. The crowd gets on Jake Hager’s case with “Where’s your hat?” chants. He gets involved but The Young Bucks take him out and connect with a BTE Trigger for the win. We head to another break.

Winners: The Young Bucks

Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament
Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy

It’s main event time!

When we return from the break, we see a vignette for Santana and then we return inside the arena where Excalibur speed-reads through updates to the lineup for Saturday’s Collision, next week’s Dynamite, and the Grand Slam edition of Dynamite in two weeks, as well as at a look at the Grand Slam Title Eliminator Tournament brackets.

Jeff Hardy’s theme hits and out he comes accompanied by his brother, Matt Hardy. Jeff settles in the ring and his iconic theme song dies down. The theme for his opponent hits and out comes ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe.

As Joe settles in the ring, the commentators talk about his ongoing issues with AEW World Champion MJF, who he vowed to defeat after running through this tournament. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with another Grand Slam Title Eliminator Tournament bout. The winner of this match faces Penta El Zero Miedo in the semifinals on Collision.

Hardy takes it to Joe early on as the crowd rallies behind him in Indianapolis. Joe ends up taking over. He bites at Jeff’s head and then begins to dominate him with slow-paced, dominant offense. As the action continues, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as our final match of the evening continues.

When we return from the break, we see Jeff fighting back into competitive form. This doesn’t last for long, however, as “The King of TV” ends up taking over and finishing him off for the win. With the win, Joe moves on to face Penta in the semifinals tomorrow night on Collision. That’s how this week’s show goes off the air. Thanks for joining us!
