Terry Funk was laid to rest on Friday, September 1, 2023.
Funeral services for the Amarillo, Texas native were held in his hometown this past Friday night after the pro wrestling legend passed away at the age of 79 on August 23, 2023.
The funeral service for “The Funker” was described as a “Celebration of Life” by wrestlers who attended, according to a report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter at F4WOnline.com.
Among those who attended the services from the wrestling community were Dory Funk Jr., Tommy Dreamer, Ted DiBiase Sr., CM Punk, Chris Hero, Tully Blanchard, Manny Fernandez, Dan Spivey, Joe Malenko, Don Frye, Stan Hansen, Mark Youngblood, and Beyond The Mat producer Barry Blaustein.
Rest in peace to wrestling legend Terry Funk.
