Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown began with a heartfelt tribute.
The opening image featured the late Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt. Wrestlers were on stage, and they flew in people who had not been booked or who were no longer with the company to be a part of the tribute.
A very emotional video package for Wyatt was shown, and then they cut back to the wrestlers on stage, who were visibly moved by the moment and Wyatt’s death. The tribute is shown in the video below. Following the commercial, they produced a video for Terry Funk that depicted the outpouring of love for him on social media following his death. Cody Rhodes will appear later to pay tribute to Funk.
