It’s Friday night, and you know what that means …

All Elite Wrestling returns from Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. for this week’s episode of AEW Rampage on TNT.

On tap for tonight’s special Fyter Fest edition of the weekly AEW on TNT Friday night show, which is also the ALL IN 2023 “go-home” installment of the show, is Toni Storm & Saraya vs. Britt Baker & Hikaru Shida.

Also scheduled for the show this evening is Orange Cassidy vs. Aaron Solo for the AEW International Championship, QT Marshall vs. Gravity for the AAA Latin American Championship, Luchasaurus will be in action and Jim Ross will sit down with QT Marshall.

AEW RAMPAGE RESULTS (8/25/2023)

AEW Pays Tribute To Bray Wyatt

An “In Memory of: Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) graphic airs and then the usual “This is Rampage, baby!” theme and opening video plays. We then shoot inside Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY.

AEW International Championship
Orange Cassidy (C) vs. Aaron Solo

Now we hear the familiar sounds of Orange Cassidy’s theme. Out comes the “Freshly Squeezed” one for the latest defense of his AEW International Championship. He heads to the ring and settles inside for his 30th defense of the title.

His music dies down and he awaits the arrival of his opposition. On that note, out comes Aaron Solo of the QTV gang accompanied by the extra annoying Harley Cameron.

We see some typical back-and-forth action, with Cassidy doing all of his trademark spots. We then head into a mid-match commercial break as Solo takes over control of the offense.

When we return from the break, we see Solo still controlling things but not for long, as the “Freshly Squeezed” one starts to take over. He hits a big top-rope splash and clutches his ribs after landing. He goes for a Tornado DDT but can’t hit it.

Cassidy hits Stundog Millionaire and then connects with a DDT. He goes for the cover, but Solo kicks out after the count of two. Harley gets on the mic at ringside and sings, “Orange, aren’t you an idiot for looking over here at me.” He turns around into a big shot from Solo.

Solo follows up with a diamond double stomp off the ropes for a close near fall. Harley takes her boot off and sneaks it to Solo. He blasts Cassidy with it but Cassidy kicks out of the follow-up pin attempt. Seconds later, Cassidy hits the Orange Punch and Beach Break for the win to retain his title.

Jim Ross Sits Down With QT Marshall

After the opener wraps up, we shoot to Jim Ross, who is sitting down with QT Marshall. He brings up him winning the AAA Latin American Championship and asks him now what. QT says now it’s time for him to get the respect he deserves.

Marshall talks about all the top guys aligning with him, but it being painted like he’s jumping on their bandwagon to steal their shine. He mentions how he keeps his business behind-the-scenes out of the light.

QT says there’s a narrative that because of Tony Khan he gets favoritism. He says if that’s the case, why did he have to go to another continent and beat three of the best wrestlers in the world to finally win a title.

AAA Latin American Championship
QT Marshall (C) vs. Gravity

Once the sit-down interview wraps up, we shoot back live inside the arena where QT Marshall’s theme hits and out he comes accompanied by Johnny TV. The QTV duo pose together and then Johnny TV heads to join Excalibur and Tony Schiavone on commentary.

QT Marshall gets in the ring and his music dies down. The theme for Gravity hits and out comes the masked fan-favorite. He settles in the ring and his entrance tune dies down.

Marshall gets on the mic before the bout and tries cutting a promo in broken Spanish, boasting about himself being the AAA Latin American Championship. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one.

As Johnny TV sings his praises on special guest commentary, we see Marshall working over Gravity in the early goings. After a few minutes of this, the action spills to the floor where QT continues to work him over. He grabs his title and poses with it at ringside as we head to a mid-match commercial break.

When we return from the break, we see QT taunting Gravity and then going back to work on him. Gravity shows signs of life and finally starts taking over on offense for the first time in the match.

Gravity hits a spot in honor of his brother, Bandido, but Marshall avoids being put away and eventually hits a sit down power bomb for the win to retain his AAA Latin American Championship.

Luchasaurus vs. Ren Jones

We shoot to a quick vignette showing the repackaged Dark Order group and then return live inside Rupp Arena where Luchasaurus makes his way out. The TNT Champion comes out without his title with him. The commentators point out that Christian Cage, who isn’t here, likely has it with him.

Already in the ring is Luchasaurus’ opponent for tonight, Ren Jones. He quickly exits the ring when the masked monster enters it.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. The fans chant “Where’s your title?” at Luchasaurus as he immediately begins dominating Jones straight out of the gate.

After about all of two minutes of action, Luchasaurus ultimately finishes off Ren Jones for the easy, quick squash match victory.

Winner: Luchasaurus

Looking At Sunday’s AEW ALL IN 2023 Main Event

A video package airs promoting the AEW World Championship showdown between MJF and Adam Cole at Sunday’s ALL IN 2023 premium live event at Wembley Stadium in London, England. After this, we head to another commercial break.

Toni Storm & Saraya vs. Britt Baker & Hikaru Shida

It’s main event time!

When we return from the break, Excalibur speed-reads through the lineup for Collision: Fyter Fest tomorrow night as well as Sunday’s ALL IN 2023 premium live event. We then switch gears and Mark Henry’s pre-main event video package airs.

From there, we shoot back inside the Rupp Arena where The Outcasts theme hits and out comes Saraya and Toni Storm accompanied by Ruby Soho for tonight’s scheduled women’s tag-team main event.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. comes out next to a huge pop. She stops and waits and is joined by her partner for tonight, the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida. The two head to the ring and it’s time for our final match of the evening.

The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. We see Baker and Saraya kick things off for their respective teams after Storm and Shida duke it out in the ring on the onset. After some back-and-forth action early on, things begin to get interesting.

Ruby Soho gets involved one time too many, which brings out TBS Women’s Champion Kris Statlander. She beats her down and carries Soho to the back to even things up. On that note, we shift gears and head into a mid-match commercial break as our main event of the evening continues.

Shida hits a falcon arrow and nearly finishes this one off by covering Saraya, but Storm hits the ring and breaks it up. Baker tags in and gets the glove out. She looks for the Lockjaw but we see Toni Storm break out the spray paint. She sprays it in Shida’s face. While blinded, Shida accidentally hits Baker. Saraya follows up with the Knight Cap for the win.

After the match, we see Saraya and Toni Storm jokingly playing tug-of-war with the AEW Women’s World Championship belt as they celebrate their win. Excalibur wraps things up and the show goes off the air on that note. Thanks for joining us!
