End of the match happens when Hiroshi Tanahashi hits High Fly Flow on Hiroyoshi Tenzan then Tomohiro Ishii hits Sliding Lariat for the win.

Block A Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
Strong Openweight Tag Team Champion Gabriel Kidd (5) vs. Yota Tsuji (5)
A win for either man coupled with a main event draw and Kiyomiya loss or draw creates a tie.
Gabriel Kidd attacks Yota Tsuji from behind except that’s not Yota Tsuji & its his twin brother Shota Tsuji before the real Yota Tsuji attacks Kidd from behind.
Kidd powders outside after the bell to avoid Gene Blaster but Tsuji just launches onto him with a tope then sends Kidd into the rails only for Kidd to return fire with a Saito suplex on the floor. Shota Tsuji gets another kicking from Kidd then slams him into Yota.
Back inside the ring Kidd retained the upper hand by chopping Yota into the corner before Tsuji returned the favour before a double handed chop finally took Kidd down into the corner ahead of a tilt a whirl backbreaker as Kidd ran into Tsuji.
We get both men trading of elbows with Tsuji stopping to tie his hair back then we are back to an elbow fight until Tsuji got caught with a throat thrust.
Tsuji tries to fight back but he gets hit with a Bull Lariat for a one count then a brainbuster for a near fall before a front suplex from Tsuji connects ahead of a gutwrench takedown then a moonsault out of the corner. Tsuji keeps ahead with a stomp before Kidd kicks away a spear in mid air.
A piledriver looks to follow from Kidd but Tsuji just slaps his way free then they trade slaps with increasing pace before a Tsuji headbutt and Gene Blaster puts Kidd away.

Block A Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
Ren Narita (4) vs. Kaito Kiyomiya (6)
A Kiyomiya win coupled with an Umino win creates a tie.
Ren Narita & Kaito Kiymoiya go to the ground early as Narita look to control proceedings but instead stood back and insisted Kiyomiya stand up. They trade wristlocks but Kiyomiya’s snap dragon screws dumps Narita to the mat ahead of a Figure 4.
That ends in the ropes after Narita blocked the hold then resumed by knocking Kiyomiya into the ropes ahead of a neckbreaker for a two count.
A dropkick to the knee stops Narita in his tracks, as Kiyomiya focused on the left knee for a spell then a rear naked choke from Narita puts him back in control at least until Kiyomiya backed them into the corner before a dropkick connects.
Kiyomiya got a near fall from a bridging German suplex, only for Narita to dive back in with the choke then with a front guillotine and back into a Cobra Twist as Kiyomiya tried to suplex his way free but the ropes eventually save Kiyomiya.
He connects with a dragon screw then a missile dropkick to the right knee before another dragon screw to the left knee then locks in a Figure 4 but Narita looks to get to the rope but Kiyomiya drags him away only for Narita to grab that bottom rope anyway.
A Tiger suplex is block as Narita came back with a Cobra Twist attempt but it’s fought off as Kiyomiya tried to go back to a dragon screw eventually landing a rolling elbow. Narita’s back with an enziguiri only to eat a rana for a near fall then a Tiger suplex for another near fall.
Kiyomiya keeps up with a modified Tiger Driver but Narita kicks out then a Kanuki suplex gets counter then a Shining Wizard attempt gets counter as well as Narita hits a bridging suplex gets the win.
Winner: Ren Narita (6) (15:17) (Since Kiymoiya lost the winner of Umino & Hikuleo goes to the Quarter Finals)

Non Title Block A Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Sanada (12) vs. Chase Owens (4)
Match starts off with a lock up then Sanada breaks cleanly in the ropes before they tried to cheap shot the other from a handshake then Chase Owens trips up Sanada but can’t do a Paradise Lock until the 2nd try by rolling Sanada over.
Owens celebrates it then broke the hold with a dropkick to the ass as Owens celebrates that like it was a win but Sanada is ready to attack as he took Owens onto the apron and wraps him around the bottom rope in another Paradise Lock then breaking the hold Sanada tries to add a plancha but misses as Sanada gets thrown into the rails.
Owens pulls up the padding on the floor but a Package Piledriver onto the exposed floor is blocked as Owens ends up hitting a DDT then dives into the ring only for Sanada to pop up at 19 to beat the count before a C Trigger and a Package Piledriver looks to follow but Owens counters out and gets lock in Skull End.
Sanada got to the ropes as the referee threatened a stoppage then Owens take off his knee brace and nails Sanada with it after the referee was thrown aside then it gets a near fall before Sanada rana’d out of the Package Piledriver then Sanada hits Shining Wizard then Deadfall connects to get the win.

Block A Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
Shota Umino (6) vs. Hikuleo (6)
Match starts off with some shoulder tackles as Shota Umino declared I’m strong then went for a dropkick to the knee before he was stuffed on a bodyslam attempt. Bodyslams from Hikuleo have Umino down but he goes back to the knee before before a another bodyslam’s stuffed as Hikuleo fell onto Umino.
A running uppercut knocks Hikuleo down as again Umino tries a body slam and eventually scored it. Umino heads up top for a missile dropkick but Hikuleo is quickly back with a Snake Eyes and a clothesline to put himself back in control while a suplex gets a two count.
Hikuleo blisters Umino with a chop but telegraphs the snap powerslam as Umino counters with a double stomp then STF follows as he drags Hikuleo away from the ropes as he was made to work for that rope break.
Umino goes for a walk as he set up a run up for a Drive By on the apron then follows with a slingshot DDT only to get powerslams as he set up for a Death Rider.
Umino ends up getting decked by right hands but manages to avoid another powerslam attempt as Hikuleo then teased the Godsend but Umino slips out returning with a bridging German suplex for a near fall before a big boot and a powerslam counters Umino’s attempt at Ignition.
Godsend looks to follow but Umino counters into a DDT as he then took things up top for a superplex. Umino gets knocked down but returns with a rising uppercut as he again tries the superplex & this time it lands Hikuleo kicks out at two then gets hit with Ignition for another near fall.
A clothesline from Hikuleo broke up a Death Rider attempt before Godsend was counter into a sunset flip that almost won it. Umino rolls Hikuleo to the mat before a snap powerslam from Hikuleo connects then goes for Godsend but Umino again blocks it before Hikuleo finally hits Godsend to put away Umino.
Winner: Hikuleo (8) (17:21) (Hikuleo wins 2nd Place & will face D Block Winner 1 in the Quarter Finals)
