Carmelo Hayes successfully retained his WWE NXT World Championship with an incredibly hard-fought victory over Ilja Dragunov in the main event of this past Sunday night’s WWE NXT Great American Bash 2023 premium live event.
At the WWE NXT PLE on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Austin, Texas, Hayes emerged victorious over Dragunov in an epic encounter that will undoubtedly be in the running for the 2023 Match of the Year in pro wrestling.
