Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson signed a multi-year contract with the WWE in September of 2021 as part of the company’s first-ever exclusive NIL program and was later drafted to the RAW brand during WWE’s 2021 Draft, but Steveson has yet to make his official debut with the company.
The Olympic Gold Medalist recently had a conversation with the Star Tribune on a number of topics including how Amateur wrestling is his passion and his fire still burns for it.
Steveson said, “Amateur wrestling is “my passion,” and “my fire still burns for it … I still have the year of [college] eligibility, and always will be ready to compete for USA.”
He also talked about about how he is excited for his WWE in-ring debut and how he’s thankful for the opportunity. Steveson said, “Very excited. First time people are seeing me. Thankful for the opportunity.”
Steveson is set to face WWE veteran Baron Corbin in a Singles Match at this coming Sunday’s WWE NXT Great American Bash Premium Live Event.
