In order to focus on the ongoing antitrust lawsuit filed by MLW against them, it is said that WWE has slowed down its efforts to recruit talent from other promotions.
Rush’s AEW contract is expected to expire soon, and when he left AAA before returning, there was speculation that it opened the door for him to approach WWE when he is legally allowed to.
Rush has been absent from AEW TV for two months. He last appeared on AEW Rampage on May 24th, when he teamed up with Preston Vance and Dralistico against Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while there is a lot of talk about him among those in WWE, AEW made him a strong offer to stay.
Meltzer wrote, “Rush has been talked about a lot in WWE given his contract situation, although he is believed to have a very strong AEW offer to stay.”
