On Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite from the TD Garden in Boston, MA, the third Blood & Guts match took place. A cage surrounded two rings in this AEW take on WarGames.
Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli), Konosuke Takeshita, and PAC were defeated by the Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Young Bucks, and Hangman Page).
Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that there were no serious injuries in the match.
Bryan: “Omega was sliced all the way down his body. He got kind of shredded up a little, and Moxley was all … .a lot, a lot of puncture wounds, a lot of guys having to get stuff pulled out of them in the morning. But, uh, there were no serious injuries. No serious injuries.”
Meltzer: “No serious injuries… unlike the last two years. Yeah. But they’ll be feeling it. Everyone will be feeling it. Yes. Wheeler came in hurt, and Ibushi came in hurt. I thought Adam Page came in hurt, but I don’t know if that’s the case. When he walked in, he just didn’t seem like himself. I heard he was limping out, too, after the show was over. When he went to the back, but, I did not hear that there was any kind of a serious injury involving him, but they’re all gonna be feeling this one cuz that was a lot, a lot of stuff. It was a crazy match. I mean, they delivered more than they advertised. I will say.”
