The 2023 Grand Slam editions of Dynamite and Rampage have been officially announced by AEW.
AEW had previously announced plans to return to Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York City on September 20. AEW confirmed the date today, stating that Dynamite will air live that night, while Rampage will be taped and aired the following Friday, September 22. Grand Slam 2023 tickets will go on sale Friday, July 28 at 10 a.m. ET via AEWtix.com.

Grand Slam 2021 marked AEW’s first appearance in New York City, as well as the company’s first event to be broadcast live from a stadium. With a reported 20,177 fans in attendance, this was also AEW’s most-attended event to date. Dynamite began with a 30-minute time limit draw between Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson, and was headlined by then-AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker retaining over Ruby Soho. Rampage began with CM Punk defeating Powerhouse Hobbs in his first cable television match since 2014, and concluded with Jon Moxley and current NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston defeating Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki in a Lights Out match. Dynamite received 1.273 million viewers and a 0.48 key demo rating, while Rampage received 640,000 viewers and a 0.28 key demo rating. On their respective days, both episodes topped the cable nightly ratings.
Grand Slam 2022 was attended by an estimated 13,800 people at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Chris Jericho won the ROH World Title by defeating current champion Claudio Castagnoli in the tournament finals, and Moxley won the vacant AEW World Title by defeating Danielson in the tournament finals. The two-hour Rampage special began with Sting and Darby Allin defeating current AEW World Trios Champions The House of Black (Buddy Matthews, Brody King) in a No DQ match, and the main event featured Ricky Starks defeating Powerhouse Hobbs in a Lights Out match. Rampage drew 522,000 viewers with a 0.17 key demo rating, while Dynamite drew 1.039 million viewers with a 0.35 key demo rating.
