The Japanese wrestling star feels like he’s living a dream.
That was the reaction of the NJPW performer when he first learned that he would be squaring off against fellow wrestling legend CM Punk in the opening round of the 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Cup tournament at AEW & NJPW: The Forbidden Door 2 this Sunday in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
“Is this a dream? Now I’m eating bread and looking at this information. But it must be real. I’ll do my best Thank you,” he wrote in the first of two tweets.
In the second, he wrote, “I am very nervous now. Of course. Because I am not world famous. It’s an honor to fight a world-famous wrestler. It is my pleasure to represent my 32 year career.”
