Today at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, the NBCUniversal Upfronts were held.
Those who were present report that a video package that promoted all of the Peacock’s available programming aired as planned. WWE did not attend the Upfronts this year like they had in previous years, despite the fact that they were featured in the video package.
According to PWInsider, neither WWE programming nor any WWE personalities were mentioned or made an appearance.
The WWE TV deal is scheduled to expire in 2024, so that will be interesting to watch. WWE and NBCU have a window of exclusivity during which they can negotiate; however, after that window has passed, WWE is free to speak with other media companies.
The AEW is expected to be present at Time Warner’s Upfronts on Wednesday in order to make the anticipated announcement regarding a new TV deal and the new weekly show for Saturday nights.
